Marvel’s Infinity Saga represents the overarching storyline of the MCU’s first twenty-three films, depicting the Super Hero Avengers’ defense of Earth and the universe against villain Thanos in his quest for the powerful six Infinity Stones. The XR agency and developer studio collaborated with Marvel Studios, Verizon, Google, and Snapchat to promote the new launch of Google Pixel 6 device and reward Verizon 5G users. The lenses leveraged the power of the Verizon network and the full suite of Snap’s Lens Studio next-gen capabilities. Users were able to reconnect with their favorite MCU characters in a series of five unique augmented reality (AR) Snap lenses with 50+ different VFX, collectively known as the Infinity Saga Snap Experience, which encouraged fans to enter the real-world metaverse and harness the powers of Doctor Strange, Thor, Captain Marvel, Gamora, Ant-Man, and The Wasp.
Relying on Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband and 4G networks, Doctor Strange, Thor, Captain Marvel were available in 4G and 5G while Gamora, Ant-Man, and The Wasp were available only on 4G. Over the Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband network, each lens had lower latency, and significantly increased bandwidth availability leveraging over 50MB in immersive VFX.
