While enduring the oppressive aftermath of a federal war on rap, the Consortium of Rhythm and Rights emerged to challenge the tyrannical government that had imposed a ban on the genre and used it as a tool to suppress and eradicate black communities. This resistance, an underground consortium of brave individuals, fought tirelessly to salvage and protect the remnants of the suppressed culture to ultimately covet and refine the art of music making. 

These songs became more than just a salvaged collection of beats and lyrics; they embodied the spirit of resistance, resilience, and the determination to preserve the rich cultural heritage that had been targeted for annihilation. Through these recovered tracks, the resistance finds solace, inspiration, and the power to forge ahead, knowing that their voices will never be silenced.
