Project T.A.S.K.

Hi! Welcome to the T.A.S.K silver award project website! We are Katy Holloway and Cora Feldt from troop 40169. This site provides: an overview of our project, ways you can become involved and a complete view of our project progress! T.A.S.K. stands for what we make: Toys After Surgery for Kids. The toys we have chosen for this project are ugly dolls: all shapes, sizes, colors, and species welcome!

Our project is to make toys to donate to the hospital so that kids can have age-appropriate, gender-neutral toys after surgery. This is important because if a kid has just gone through surgery, they might be lonely or depressed or sad, and having a toy would cheer them up. And it's not just good for the kids- it's helpful to the parents of those kids, and the nurses who are working with them, because if the kid is happier they might be more willing to do what the nurse needs them to do to be healthy.
