Our Chapter has received nearly 70 blanket donations this month. That is a Chapter record! Thank you so much Blanketeers.

As a reminder, I have some donated yarn that is ready to be made into lovely blankets. Reach out to me through our Chapter email (projectlinusescambia@gmail.com) and we can coordinate an exchange.
Additionally, Derrell's is hosting a "Charity Sew Day" on July 31. This is a day that they provide a 10% discount to makers and they also offer their classroom for work space.
Lastly, I wanted to share that I received a lovely thank you from a mom whose children received blankets through Valerie's House. She wanted to share how much the blankets have meant to her children. "I think these blankets mean so much because of the meaning behind them."

Derrel's of Pensacola is a new blanket drop off location!

We are so happy to announce that Derrel's of Pensacola has come alongside Project Linus Escambia as a new location to drop off handmade blankets. We appreciate their willingness to support our Chapter.

Look for a donation basket near the front of the store located at 6705 N. Davis Hwy, Pensacola. Their phone number is 850-438-5444.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 10:00 to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 to 3:00 pm. Closed Sundays.

A Sad Goodbye to Joann's

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Joann's, a supporter of Project Linus nationwide for many years. The collection box is no longer available for blanket drop-off. Please stay tuned for an announcement providing additional drop-off points in the county.

A great big thank you to the Pensacola Retreat Center for highlighting Project Linus as the Non-Profit of the Month for the month of January and also for hosting our first Project Linus Escambia Meet & Greet last Saturday. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet Blanketeers and supporters of our Chapter. Thank you to all those who came by to say hello and for those who stayed to stitch!

Please remember that the Pensacola Retreat Center has also agreed to serve as a donation drop-off for Project Linus Escambia. 🎉

Come to our New Year Meet & Greet

Let's start the 2025 with a celebration. On January 18th, the Pensacola Retreat Center, through their non-profit Vicky's Heart (click here for their Facebook page) is hosting a Project Linus Escambia Meet & Greet from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. This is an opportunity to meet each other, share our craft passion, enjoy some refreshments and yes, even stitch together. Please add it to your calendar and come out.

Valerie's House Pensacola

We are so excited and blessed to announce that Project Linus Escambia is supporting Valerie's House, Pensacola. Valerie's House provides grief support for children in Pensacola/Escambia County. This week, our chapter made it's first delivery of blankets. We look forward to continuing our support.

First Deliveries!

This month we have made our first blanket deliveries of Project Linus donations. The Kids' House and Ronald McDonald House have received blankets. Many thanks to all who have given of their time and resources to make this modest start possible.

Thanks also to Joann's and Dixie Knits for accepting donations and making this possible. One request I have is that you provide your name and contact information with your donation so that we can acknowledge your gift.

We also appreciate all the emails and inquiries sent to our email box. Please share on your social media accounts about Project Linus Escambia.
