The innovative component of professional training of primary school teachers is considered as an attribute of a modern institution of higher education. Innovative changes are explained by subjective (new competencies and new personal qualities are formed) and objective (education acquires species diversity (formal, non-formal, informal)) expediency. The educational process is characterized as active and creative, which, in turn, provides an opportunity to analyze higher education institutions in terms of the approach to innovation. The innovative component of professional training of primary school teachers, which is implemented at the of the Pedagogical Institute of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, is revealed on the example of the content of four studies.
