The Sonic community is filled with some truly talented people. From fan games and hacks to comics and cartoons (including a SatAM revival), the Sonic community regularly pumps out loads of impressive projects. Live action films have generally been the exception, due to Sonic being a cartoon hedgehog and all. At least...until now. This past Saturday, Brazilian CG animator and aspiring filmmaker Joo Filipe Santiago released a trailer for his upcoming fan short film, "Project Shadow." This short retells Shadow's origin story, from his creation to the tragic death of Maria, all while utilizing Shadow's teased design from Sonic 2.

The effects in this trailer are very impressive, especially for a fan film. It's pretty clear a lot of time and effort went into this. The trailer has been released in two languages: its original Brazilian Portuguese and an international English dub. You can check out both below:

The trailer also confirms Mike Pollock's involvement. According to Santiago, this will be in the form of a brief cameo. The music in the trailer is also a totally original song, which will be released in the near future. Finally, these trailers aren't everything! You can find some other brief teases on Santiago's Youtube, and you can check out Project Shadow's movie poster below:

Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Next Adventure is a 2010 action-adventure fantasy comedy film directed by Brett Ratner, written by Michael Bay and Alex Kurtzman and screenplay by Spike Lee, George Lucas, Adam McKay and Gary Scott Thompson. and was based on the video game franchise published by Sega. Plans to make a sequel came about before the release of Sonic the Hedgehog, Brett Ratner had seen the first film and was awed by it, saying: "When I saw Sonic the Hedgehog, I was like, 'Damn, why didn't I think of that?' Growing up in South Central L.A., we had street races all the time." Ratner's rave reaction of the film as well as the culture of street racing in general influenced his decision to direct the sequel. The director also claimed that the concept of street racing could be something young audiences can relate to.

Immediately after Sonic the Hedgehog's 2006 release, Sega announced that they were developing a sequel, with an intended release date of December 24, 2010. In May 2007, after several months of negotiating, Ratner officially signed on to direct. That same month, the screenplay was written by Spike Lee and Adam McKay, along with George Lucas and Gary Scott Thompson.

In your current config, from components.java is going to publish the default jar artifact of your project and artifact sourceJar publishes the sourceJar. In order to publish a different jar, you need to modify (or add a new) publication.

You can publish using the plugin by omitting the 'artifactory' plugin from a project that does not publish anything. Note that this does not apply to the root project that contains the convention object, and so, requires the plugin to be applied.Activate the corresponding artifactoryPublish Gradle task manually for each project to which you wish to apply the plugin. For example in our Gradle project example you can run:./gradlew clean api:artifactoryPublish shared:artifactoryPublish

The project.shadow.component(publication) everyone keeps talking about doesn't exist in the root project and will not compile in a Kotlin DSL. It's the ShadowExtension that only exists in the project where the plugin is applied.

The band's self-titled first album was released in 1991. AllMusic described Shadow Project's debut as a unique and adventurous "blend of goth, punk and glam", a challenging record that would ultimately prove satisfying after several spins.[7] With Peter Tomlinson replacing Morgan, the group completed a follow-up, Dreams for the Dying, recorded during the 1992 Los Angeles riots.[8] Jill Emery left to concentrate on her Hole duties. After Emery's departure they recruited former Kathedral bassist Donato Canzonieri who finished recording Dreams for the Dying (uncredited). Donato can be seen on the album cover with Eva O. and would also go on to record on Rozz Williams spoken word album Every King A Bastard Son.The following year Shadow Project participated on Triple X's Alice Cooper tribute Welcome to Our Nightmare with a "Dead Babies/Killer" medley.[9] The band personnel for this recording featured yet another line-up change, with Aaron Schwartz now on bass and Chuck Collison handling the track's samples.[9] Shadow Project then toured the United States in the summer,[10] and after that had plans to tour Europe in the Fall, namely France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom.[11]

After Shadow Project split, Rozz Williams and Eva O. divorced (but remained friendly) and Williams' heroin addiction increased. In 1997 they would once again reunite to record the final Shadow Project release, From the Heart.[1] The album included band material from previous records stripped down to just acoustic guitar and vocal duets.[16] Nathan Van Hala of christian metal group Saviour Machine was drafted to fill in the keyboard duties.[1] But before From Heart came out Shadow Project's career was again cut short, this time by Rozz Williams' suicide. The singer hanged himself on April Fool's Day, leaving no suicide note. His former Christian Death bandmate, Valor Kand, said that beside suffering from bipolar disorder, Williams battled alcohol and heroin abuse all his life.[2]

The results of Project Shadow produced two creatures endowed with immortality: the prototype, named the Biolizard, and the final product, Shadow the Hedgehog. However, the project was shut down by the military when it was deemed too dangerous, which indirectly resulted in the deaths of Gerald and Maria Robotnik. The project's legacy formed the basis for the events in the Space Colony ARK incident and the Black Arms incident a few decades later.

Project Shadow was conceived over fifty years before the Black Arms' arrival on earth by the President of the United Federation at that time (thirteen presidents before the current one) under the premise of achieving "mankind's ultimate eternal dream: researching for immortality."[2] However, the true intent for the project was to use the results to develop weapons of mass destruction.[3]

The President personally requested Professor Gerald Robotnik, the most brilliant mind of his time, for assistance. Initially, Gerald refused, believing that they were crossing the limits that man should not tamper with and that they would use his research for war. But then he realized that he could co-opt the program in order to find a cure for Neuro-Immune Deficiency Syndrome, an incurable and fatal disease afflicting his beloved granddaughter, Maria. As such, Gerald eventually accepted the request and agreed to lead the project on the Space Colony ARK, an orbiting facility isolated from earth. There, all advanced research on the project was strictly confidential.[2] 006ab0faaa
