BIOGRAPHY

Prof. Kim is a scholar and researcher in the area of real-time networks, Industrial IoT, and blockchain technology networks, leading the Networked Systems Lab (NSL) at Kumoh Institute of Technology. For 24 years, I have developed real-time embedded SW technologies used in military and industrial applications, contributing to the localization of domestic defense technology. This venture has produced over 160 people with master's and doctoral degrees, significantly contributing to nurturing high-quality human resources in related fields. He founded the NSLab. Co., LTD, a startup company based on Networked Systems Lab. His goal was to establish a company that could capitalize on the research and technological development he had accumulated while working as a professor for over 24 years. We present a model with a virtuous cycle structure that encourages an environment where master's and doctoral student researchers can advance their research and monetize the research results obtained through this to grow the company and hire qualified researchers. The driving force behind his ability to start a startup was the research infrastructure and the researchers he had produced.

He also established a full-fledged corporate activity by introducing the 'Pure Wallet' (offline blockchain wallet) and metaverse platform service 'Creativia' jointly developed by  ICT Convergence Specialization Research Center and NS Lab Co., Ltd. Creativia is a space that realizes the users' creative ideas and a platform that allows users to utilize the space in various ways depending on their purpose. Currently, the beta version of Pure Wallet and Creativia is ready for use. He further divided the research group into two primary tracks: the research track and the startup track. This division will promote university startups so that researchers can also conduct and practice their skills. This has produced the platform service 'Creativia' and the offline smart payment system 'Pure Wallet' (offline blockchain wallet).
