A jacket structure is considered for studying its dynamic response control using MR Damper. The base of the jacket structure is considered to be fixed. The fixidity condition is applied to the structure to avoid complexity in modeling and reduce computational effort. Four M. R. dampers, two at the top level and two at one level below, are used. The lever arm enhances the relative motion between the two consecutive levels, which helps in getting more deformation in the damper. The lever arm also helps in enhancing the total force generated by dampers.
