I am currently a Term Assistant Professor of Economics at the department of Economics at the Virginia Commonwealth University. 

I teach undergraduate introductory and elective courses, and typically have +250 students per semester.

My research interest is on development and education, with a focus on educational choices, pedagogy and policy. 

I have a Ph.D. in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University, and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation. I am also a past-president of the Virginia Association of Economists.
