I am a senior manufacturing engineering professional skilled by a differentiated blend of corporative & academic background. Over 20 years of significant experience in manufacturing and production fields based on research and development (R&D), manufacturing processes, technologies and automation, in addition to teaching, training, management and assistance of shop floor, which are my major skills.
My degree is founded by Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and Specialist in Production Management at Sao Paulo State University (UNESP), and Master and PhD in Mechanical Engineering at University of Sao Paulo (USP).
Currently, I am a Professor and Researcher at Mechanical Engineering department of Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar), in charge of the main subjects related to manufacturing, automation and Industry 4.0. My academic current responsibilities are oriented to teaching, research and development of innovative projects in the field.
Furthermore, I have been developed international R&D collaborations with research groups of foreigner universities and companies. Also, I am leading important research projects with industries in Brazil, like technological partnership, advisory and consulting, assisted by university extension projects.
I am a researcher and innovator recognized for my research publications, patents, book, accomplishments, contributions, lectures, assistance and engineering services to the community. I have published several scientific papers in reputed journals and have been serving as reviewer of relevant journals.
