As a thoracic radiologist with over 400 indexed PubMed publications, I have had the privilege of being involved in academic radiology for the last 10 years. Throughout my career, I have had a strong interest in academic radiology and the important role it plays in improving chest disease diagnosis and treatment. My focus has been primarily on thoracic magnetic resonance, which is an area of radiology that has grown significantly in recent years. I have been fortunate to contribute to its advancement through my research and publications. I am currently Professor and thoracic radiologist at the University of Florida. My expertise in clinical imaging analysis in magnetic resonance, chronic lung diseases and lung cancer. I have mentored 29 PhDs and MSc students in research projects involving lung cancer screening and new imaging methods in chest diseases.Â
