Dr. Alok Kumar received his Ph.D. in Economics from Queen's University, Kingston, Canada in 2003. Areas of specialization: Macro Economics, Monetary Economics, and Development Economics. Areas of interest include Monetary Issues, Growth and Development, Gender Bias, Human Capital Investment, and Foreign Aid.
Teaching Interests: Macro Economics, Monetary Economics, Mathematical Economics, and Development Economics. Prior to joining the University of Victoria he was member of the Indian Economic Service and worked in the Perspective Planning Division of the Planning Commission (now NITI AYOG), New Delhi.
