Effective date: 27 September 2026
Pro Calculator is a calculator app for construction, money and everyday maths. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. In short: you don't need an account, your calculations stay on your phone, and the only data that leaves your device is what Google's advertising service needs to show ads.
Account or sign-in
Not needed. There is none.
Your measurements, estimates, clients and prices
Stored only on your phone. We never receive them.
Analytics, crash reports or tracking by us
None.
Advertising
Google AdMob shows ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland it asks for your consent first.
Location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos
Not used.
Selling your personal information
We don't sell it.
This policy covers the Android apps Pro Calculator and Concrete Calculator ("the app"), published on Google Play by Kaal ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the app. Contact details are at the end of this policy.
The app keeps the following in its private storage on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to see it:
measurements and other values you type, saved as drafts so they survive the screen turning off
saved estimates, projects, client and project names, notes, labour costs and calculation history
amounts you enter in the money calculators, such as loan amounts, interest rates, prices and tax rates
prices you entered, remembered for next time
your settings: units, language, theme, currency symbol, the company name you add to PDFs, and your favourite calculators
which optional features you unlocked by watching a rewarded ad
Your favourite calculators also appear in the app's home-screen widget and launcher shortcuts. These read the same on-device data.
Delete: delete single estimates or projects in the app, or remove everything by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app.
Back up and restore: Settings → Back up everything creates a file that you save wherever you choose. Settings → Restore from a backup reads a file you pick. We never receive these files.
Share and export: when you share an estimate as text, CSV or PDF, the app passes it to the app you choose, such as email, WhatsApp or a printer. From then on, that app's privacy policy applies.
Android device backup: if you have turned on Android's backup to your Google account, Android may include the app's data in that backup. Google handles this under your Google account settings; we can't access it.
None. We don't run servers for the app, we don't collect analytics or crash reports, and the app contains no tracking tools of our own. The only third-party service in the app that processes data is Google's advertising service, described in the next section.
The app is free because it shows ads. They are provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC and, for users in the EEA and UK, Google Ireland Limited. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app may collect:
your device's advertising ID
your IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location (city or region, not your exact position)
device and app information, such as device model, Android version, app version, language and screen size
ad interactions, such as which ads were shown or tapped
on devices that support it, signals from Android's Privacy Sandbox (ad topics and ad attribution), which Android manages and you can switch off in your phone's privacy settings
This information is collected and used by Google, not by us, as described in Google's Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Where you consent, Google may work with other advertising partners; the consent form lists them.
Ads never appear between typing a measurement and seeing its result. Rewarded ads are optional: you only see one if you choose to watch it to unlock a feature.
Before any ad is requested, the app shows Google's consent form (the User Messaging Platform). You can accept, decline, or choose purposes one by one. If you decline personalised ads, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads. These use less data, for purposes such as showing the ad, limiting how often you see it and preventing fraud, and are not based on your interests. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy options in the app.
Some US state privacy laws, such as those of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Utah, treat ads based on your interests as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or as "targeted advertising". We don't sell your personal information for money. If you live in one of these states, you can opt out of this use for advertising in Settings → Privacy options in the app when it is offered in your region, and at any time through your phone's settings as described below.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or ask apps not to use it for personalised ads, in your phone's settings. Depending on your phone this is under Settings → Google → Ads or Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Internet and network state: to load ads and the consent form. Every calculation works offline.
Advertising ID and ad services: used by the Google Mobile Ads SDK as described in section 4.
Keep awake and background tasks: to keep the screen on when you switch on "Screen on" in a calculator, and for short background tasks run by the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
The app does not use your location (GPS), camera, microphone, contacts, photos, call log or SMS. It only reads a file from your storage when you pick one yourself, for example to restore a backup.
We don't process your personal data on our own systems. Storing and reading information on your device for advertising, and showing personalised ads, is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, together with the ePrivacy rules, in Germany § 25 TDDDG). You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings → Privacy options; this does not affect processing before the withdrawal. Google explains the legal bases for its own processing, including for non-personalised ads, in its privacy policy.
Information on your phone stays there until you delete it, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. We keep no copies. Google keeps advertising data for the periods set out in its privacy policy.
Google may process advertising data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Google relies on recognised safeguards for these transfers, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
The app is a working tool for adults and is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, contact us and we will help.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal data, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent. Residents of some US states may also have the right to know, delete and opt out, and the right not to be treated differently for using these rights.
Because we don't hold personal data about you, there is usually nothing for us to hand over or delete: your app data is on your phone and under your control (section 2). For advertising data, use the choices in section 4 or contact Google. You can also contact us with any question, and you have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
App data is kept in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. Backup and export files are stored wherever you choose, so keep them as safe as any other document. The app's connections to Google's ad services are encrypted (HTTPS).
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. We will also mention important changes in the app's release notes.
