We’re excited to welcome PD Dr. med. Ansgar Rougemont-Bücking, psychiatrist and psychotherapist specializing in addiction medicine, EMDR therapist, researcher, lecturer, and author.

This lecture explores the intersection of neuroscience and phenomenology in understanding psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. Dr. Rougemont-Bücking will discuss three key mechanisms of trauma-related outcomes: reduction of phobic avoidance, correction of contextualization deficits, and transformation of traumatic attachment patterns.

By drawing on the model of structural dissociation, the talk offers insights into the therapeutic effects of psychedelics and highlights the role of lived experience as a central source of knowledge.
