EDD Calculator ("the App") is developed and maintained by Vinod Kumar Mishra. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. By using the App you agree to this policy.
π Your pregnancy health data stays on your device β it is never uploaded to any server.
1. Information We Collect
The App is designed with a privacy-first architecture. The vast majority of your data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Stored on your device only (never sent to our servers):
β’ Your name β optional, used only for personalised greetings within the App β’ Last menstrual period (LMP) date and your calculated estimated due date (EDD) β’ Kick count sessions, individual kick timestamps, and complete session history β’ Contraction timing sessions, intervals, and recorded history β’ Pregnancy weight entries, pre-pregnancy weight, height, and BMI profile β’ Saved (bookmarked) article identifiers β’ ANC (antenatal care) appointment dates, reminders, and personal notes β’ Hospital bag checklist progress and custom items β’ Notification preferences, theme mode (light/dark/system), app mode (personal/clinic), and all other settings
Transmitted to our servers:
β’ Expo Push Notification Token β a randomly generated device identifier provided by Expo's notification service. This token is stored in our Supabase database solely to deliver pregnancy milestone and kick-count reminder notifications that you have opted into. It is not linked to your name, health data, or any personally identifiable information.
β’ Article read requests β when you browse pregnancy articles within the App, your device fetches article content from our Supabase database. No personal or health data is included in these requests beyond your device's standard IP address, which is handled by Supabase's infrastructure and not stored by us.
2. How We Use Your Information
β’ Push tokens are used exclusively to send pregnancy-related notifications you have opted into β such as weekly milestones, kick-count reminders, and educational updates. β’ Article requests are used only to serve content. No reading history, browsing patterns, or preferences are stored on our servers. β’ Anonymous analytics (via Firebase) help us understand which features are most used and identify crash patterns, so we can improve the App. No personally identifiable or health data is included. β’ We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other commercial purposes. β’ All personal pregnancy health data (LMP, weight, kick counts, contraction history, ANC plans) is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
3. Sharing Features
The App includes optional features that allow you to share your pregnancy progress (such as weight tracking summaries or kick count achievements) as text or as an image card. All sharing is initiated entirely by you and is processed on your device using the operating system's built-in share sheet. No data is uploaded to our servers as part of any sharing action. The data is shared only with the recipient or service you choose on your device.
4. Third-Party Services
The following third-party services are integrated into the App. Each operates under its own privacy policy and data practices:
β’ Google AdMob β Displays advertisements within the App. May collect your device's advertising ID, app usage data, and approximate location to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device's Google Ads settings. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
β’ Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google) β Collects anonymous, aggregated usage statistics and crash reports to help us improve app stability and user experience. No personally identifiable information or health data is included. Privacy policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
β’ Supabase β Our backend service that securely stores push notification tokens and hosts pregnancy article content. All data is stored in access-controlled, encrypted databases. Privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy
β’ Expo Notifications β Provides cross-platform push notification delivery infrastructure. Handles routing of notification messages from our server to your device. Privacy policy: https://expo.dev/privacy
5. Advertisements
The App displays banner ads and occasional interstitial and rewarded video ads through Google AdMob to support ongoing development while keeping the App free. Ads are configured to request non-personalised ads by default. AdMob may still collect device-level information (such as device model, operating system version, and advertising ID) as described in Google's privacy policy.
You can reset or opt out of personalised advertising by visiting your device's Google Ads settings or by resetting your advertising ID in your device's privacy settings.
6. Notifications
Push notifications are entirely optional. The App will ask for your permission before enabling notifications. You can enable or disable them at any time through the App's settings or your device's system notification settings.
Disabling notifications stops all future messages immediately. Your push token may remain in our database until you request its deletion. To request deletion of your push token, contact us using the email address provided below.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
β’ All local data (LMP, name, weight entries, kick counts, contraction history, bookmarks, checklist progress, and settings) is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App or clear the App's storage from your device settings. β’ The App includes an "Export My Data" feature in Settings, which allows you to export all your stored pregnancy data as text before uninstalling or clearing data. β’ Push tokens stored on our servers are retained only while the App is actively installed on your device. You may request deletion of your push token at any time by contacting us via email. β’ We do not retain any article browsing history, reading preferences, or usage patterns on our servers.
8. Data Security
We take the security of your information seriously. The minimal server-side data (push tokens) is stored in Supabase's secured, access-controlled, and encrypted database infrastructure. All communication between the App and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
Since the vast majority of your data is stored locally on your device, its security is also protected by your device's built-in security features, such as screen lock, encryption, and biometric authentication.
9. Children's Privacy
This App is intended for use by adults who are managing or supporting a pregnancy. It is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.
10. Medical Disclaimer
EDD Calculator provides general pregnancy education and calculation tools only. All calculations β including estimated due date, gestational age, weight gain guidance (based on IOM recommendations), and contraction timing β are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for any decisions related to your pregnancy, health, or medical care.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
β’ Access the personal data we hold about you (limited to your push token, if registered). β’ Request deletion of your push token from our servers. β’ Export your locally stored data using the in-app "Export My Data" feature. β’ Opt out of personalised advertising through your device's Google Ads settings. β’ Withdraw consent for notifications at any time through the App or your device settings.

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as the App gains new features or as legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be noted in the App's Play Store update description. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
