Privacy Policy for WordLoop
Last updated: [July 10 2026]
WordLoop is a vocabulary learning app designed to help users save and review words locally on their device.
Information We Collect
The current version of WordLoop does not require an account and does not collect personal information on our servers.
Words, translations, transcriptions, app settings, widget preferences, and companion settings are stored locally on your device.
How We Use Information
WordLoop uses locally stored data to:
- show your saved vocabulary words in the app;
- display saved words in the home screen widget;
- remember app settings such as theme, language, widget style, and companion name;
- keep vocabulary progress available on your device.
Data Sharing
The current version of WordLoop does not sell or share your personal data with third parties.
Advertising and Analytics
The current version of WordLoop does not include third-party advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs.
If future versions add ads, analytics, crash reporting, or premium purchases, this privacy policy and the Google Play Data Safety declaration will be updated before those features are released.
Data Storage
Your vocabulary data is stored locally on your device. If you uninstall the app or clear app data, your saved words and settings may be deleted.
Children
WordLoop is not specifically directed to children. If the app is later offered to children or families, this policy and Google Play declarations will be updated to meet applicable requirements.
Security
WordLoop is designed to keep vocabulary data local in the MVP version. No method of electronic storage is perfect, but the app avoids unnecessary data collection.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as WordLoop evolves. Updates will be posted at this page with a new "Last updated" date.
