This Privacy Policy explains how Ultra Scan ("we", "us", the "App") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, our authentication provider (Clerk) gives us your name and email address to create and secure your account.
Your documents. Documents you scan are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or store your documents on our servers.
Ask AI content. When you use the Ask AI feature, the text of the document you choose is sent to our AI processing provider (Groq) to generate a response. This text is processed to answer your request and is not used to train models by us.
Advertising & device data. For users on the free plan, we use Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier and related data as described in Google's policies.

2. How We Use Information

To provide and secure your account and the App's features.
To process on-request actions such as OCR, compression, signing, and Ask AI.
To display advertising to free-plan users.
To process subscription purchases through Google Play billing.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your scanned documents remain on your device unless you explicitly export or share them. Account data is handled by Clerk. Data transmitted to our providers is encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following providers, each with their own privacy policies:

Clerk — authentication (Google sign-in).
Groq — AI processing for the Ask AI feature.
Google AdMob — advertising (free plan).
Adapty & Google Play Billing — subscription management.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed above, solely to operate the App, or where required by law.

6. Your Choices & Rights

You can delete documents at any time from within the App.
You can reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.
You can request deletion of your account and associated account data by contacting us at the email below.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
