Effective date: 14 September 2026
Developer: AndroRandomTech
App: Room Planner (Android package com.androrandomtech.roomplanner)
1. Summary
Room Planner is an offline floor-plan editor. It does not require an account, it does not ask for your name, email address or any other personal information, and it does not include analytics or crash-reporting tools. Everything you create in the app — your plans, imported pictures, custom furniture and settings — is stored only on your device.
The one exception is advertising: the app shows ads served by Google AdMob, and the AdMob SDK collects some device data to do so. This is described in section 4.
2. Data stored on your device
The app saves the following in its private storage on your device:
Plans — the rooms, furniture and measurements you draw.
Imported pictures — if you import a photo or an existing floor plan to trace over, a copy of that picture is stored inside the app.
Custom furniture — the items you save to My furniture.
Settings — theme, units, default room size and similar preferences, plus your advertising consent choices.
We never see this data. It is not transmitted to us or to any server, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Android Backup. If you have enabled Android's automatic backup on your device, Android may copy your plans to your Google account so they can be restored on a new phone. This is a feature of Android, controlled by your device settings and governed by Google's Privacy Policy, not by us.
Manual backup and export. When you export a plan as a PNG or PDF, or create a backup archive, the file is saved where you choose (for example your Pictures or Downloads folder) or shared with the app you pick. What happens to the file after that is under your control.
3. Photos and files
To import a picture, the app uses the Android system picker. It only receives the single picture you choose; it does not access your photo library, camera, contacts, location or any other data on your device.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Room Planner is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To serve and measure ads, the AdMob SDK may collect and process:
your device's advertising ID,
your IP address and the approximate location derived from it,
device information (model, operating system version, language, screen size),
information about the ads shown and your interactions with them.
This data is collected by Google, not by us, and is processed under Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. How Google uses data from apps that use its services is explained here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your choices about ads
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: when you first open the app you are shown a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) where you can accept or refuse personalised advertising. You can change your choice at any time from the app's Settings → Privacy options.
Everywhere: you can opt out of ad personalisation or reset your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device).
Refusing personalised ads does not remove ads; you will see non-personalised ads instead.
5. Internet access
The app requests the Internet permission solely so that ads can be loaded. No other feature of the app connects to the Internet. The 3D models, furniture catalogue and sample plans are bundled with the app and are never downloaded.
6. Children
Room Planner is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will help you address it.
7. Security
Because your data stays on your device, its security depends on your device's own protections (screen lock, encryption, backups). We recommend keeping your device and Android version up to date.
8. Your rights
If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data-protection laws, you have rights over your personal data, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. Since we do not hold any personal data about you, requests concerning advertising data should be addressed to Google using the links in section 4. You can delete all data stored by the app at any time by uninstalling it or by clearing the app's storage in Android settings. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The effective date at the top will be updated, and material changes will be noted in the app's Play Store listing.
