Pardon ("the App") is a French language learning application. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices. We are committed to being transparent: we do not collect, store, or share any personal information from users of this App.
We do not collect, process, or store any of the following:
Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number, etc.)
Account credentials or authentication data
Location data
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Usage analytics or behavioral data
Crash reports or diagnostics sent to us
Any form of tracking data
Pardon is designed as an offline-first application. Here is how content delivery works:
1. Content Download: When you choose to download a story pack, the App makes a one-time network request to Cloudflare R2 (a cloud object storage service) to retrieve audio files and story data (JSON files). This is the only external network connection the App makes.
2. Local Storage: All downloaded content (audio files and story data) is stored locally on your device.
3. Offline Playback: Once content is downloaded, the App operates entirely offline. No network connection is required for playback.
The App uses one external service solely for content delivery:
Cloudflare (Content Delivery)
Purpose: Hosting and delivering downloadable story packs (audio and text content).
What is transmitted: Standard HTTP request data (file URL, your IP address as part of the network request). We do not control what Cloudflare logs on its infrastructure.
No personal data: No personal information is attached to these requests. They are anonymous file downloads.

We have no other third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking integrations in the App.
The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
Downloaded story audio files and story data.
App preferences (e.g., playback speed, font size) stored using Android DataStore — this data never leaves your device.
You can remove all locally stored data at any time by clearing the App's data through your device's Settings or by uninstalling the App.
Since we do not collect or transmit personal data, there is no personal data at risk. Content downloads are performed over encrypted HTTPS connections.
If we ever change our data practices, we will update this Privacy Policy and revise the "Last Updated" date. Any material changes will be communicated through an App update.
