- **For Android 10 and 11 (API levels 29-30)**: We request access to **precise location (`ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION`)**. The location permission is used **solely** for discovering and connecting to BLE devices. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit your actual location data.

- **For Android 12 and higher (API level 31+)**: We use the dedicated Bluetooth permissions (`BLUETOOTH_SCAN` with the `neverForLocation` flag and `BLUETOOTH_CONNECT`). **No location permission is requested or used** on these devices [citation:9].
