Welcome to Studer — an educational app for students in grades 8–10. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information, including how we work with advertising partners. By using the app, you agree to the terms described below.
We collect minimal data to provide the app experience:
•Basic usage data — how you use the app (features accessed, session duration)
•Notes & study data — timetable, marks, notepad content (stored locally on your device only)
•AI chat messages — questions sent to AI tutor are processed by Google Gemini API and not stored permanently
•Account identifier — a hashed ID to link your session to your data
Studer uses Google AdMob to display advertisements that help us keep the app free to use. AdMob is a mobile advertising platform provided by Google.
What data AdMob may collect:
•Device information — device type, operating system, screen size, and mobile carrier
•Advertising identifiers — such as Google Advertising ID (GAID) or IDFA
•IP address — used to determine approximate location for regional ads
•Usage data — how you interact with ads, app session data, and crash reports

Technologies used:

Studer requests the following device permissions:
•Notifications — used to send timetable class reminders you set up. You can disable notifications at any time in device settings.
All permissions are requested only when you use the relevant feature and can be revoked from your device settings at any time.

We take your data security seriously. All communication is encrypted using HTTPS. Most of your personal study data (notes, marks, timetable) is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to our servers. We do not sell your personal data to any third party. Advertising data is handled solely by Google AdMob under their own privacy policies.

Studer is designed for students aged 13 and above. We comply with Google Play's Family policies and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. AdMob ads are configured to serve only non-personalized ads to users under the age of consent. If you believe your child has used this app and shared personal information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
