This Privacy Policy describes how REWIND: 90s & 2000s Trivia ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application. We built this app to be simple and privacy-respecting — it does not require an account, and it does not collect any personal information you type or enter.
The App does not require registration, does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers, and does not access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone.
The App stores the following information locally on your device only, using standard browser/WebView storage. This information is never sent to us or to any third party:
Your best score
Number of games played
Your best answer streak
This data stays on your device and is deleted automatically if you uninstall the App or clear its storage.
The App displays ads served by Google AdMob, a service provided by Google. To show ads (including optional rewarded ads for in-game hints), Google AdMob may collect and use certain data such as your advertising identifier (Advertising ID), device information, and general location (based on IP address) in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Rewarded ads are entirely optional — you are never required to watch an ad to play the App or answer trivia questions. Ads are only shown when you choose to use the "Watch Ad for Hint" feature, or between completed rounds.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland, you may be shown a consent request before ads are personalized, in accordance with applicable regulations (GDPR). You can manage your ad personalization preferences through your device's ad settings at any time.
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If the App is configured to serve a child-directed audience on the Play Store, ad requests will be made using Google's child-directed treatment settings, which limits data collection accordingly.
The App uses the following third-party service:
Google AdMob — for displaying interstitial and rewarded ads. See how Google uses data from apps that use AdMob.
Since the App does not collect or transmit personal information to our own servers, there is no personal data held by us to secure. Any data handled by third-party services (like AdMob) is governed by that provider's own security practices.
You can reset your locally stored stats (best score, games played, streak) by clearing the App's storage/data in your device's app settings, or by uninstalling the App.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, on most Android devices).
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
