Privacy Policy for ReviveCam
Last updated:11/Jun/2026
ReviveCam ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information Collection and Use
ReviveCam is designed as a local-network tool. We believe in data minimization and user privacy.
Camera Data: The App accesses your device's camera to provide a real-time video stream. This video feed is processed locally on your device and transmitted directly to other devices within your own local network (Wi-Fi). We DO NOT collect, store, or transmit your video or audio data to any external servers or third parties.
Local Storage: We store minimal configuration data (such as the Camera Name and user preferences) locally on your device. This data never leaves your device.
Battery and System Status: The App accesses battery level and system time solely to display them on the video feed (OSD) for your convenience.
2. Permissions
To function correctly, ReviveCam requires the following permissions:
Camera: To capture the video feed.
Internet: To run the local web server and allow streaming within your Wi-Fi.
Foreground Service: To keep the stream active when the screen is off.
Notifications: To provide a persistent control panel for the service.
3. Third-Party Services (Ads and Analytics)
The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
Google AdMob: We show advertisements to support development. AdMob may collect and use your advertising ID to provide personalized ads. You can opt-out of personalized ads in your Android system settings.
Google Play Billing: We use Google's secure system for In-App Purchases (Pro version). We do not have access to your credit card or financial information.
4. Data Security
Since your video stream is transmitted via HTTP/HTTPS within your local network, your security depends on your local Wi-Fi password and network configuration. We recommend using a secure, password-protected Wi-Fi network.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
