1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide the best service, including accurate prayer times, personalized AI insights, and a safe community-driven content environment.

a. Location Data

• Purpose: We use your location data (fine and coarse) solely to calculate accurate Prayer Times and determine the Qibla Direction according to your position.

• Storage: Location data is processed locally on your device. We do not store your location history on our servers.

• Permissions: Location access is only requested when you use related features. You can revoke this permission at any time.

b. User Reports & Community Safety (New)

• Reporting Content: If you encounter content that is inaccurate, or contains SARA, violence, or hate speech, you can submit a report.

• Collected Data: When you report content, we collect the content ID, the reason category, and a timestamp.

• Purpose: This data is used for our "Self-Healing AI" mechanism. If content receives multiple reports, it is automatically flagged for review or hidden from other users to ensure community safety.

c. Device Information

We may collect technical information about your device via third-party services for:

• App crash and stability analysis (via Firebase Crashlytics).

• Technical troubleshooting.

d. App Usage Data

We monitor interaction with specific features (like AI insights or tafsir) to improve user experience. This data is collected anonymously.

2. Third-Party Services & GDPR Compliance

Our application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

a. Google AdMob & UMP SDK (GDPR Compliance)

• European Users (EEA/UK): We use the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to manage user consent for advertisements. Ads will only be personalized if you explicitly grant permission through the consent form.

• Advertising ID: AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID to show relevant ads. You can reset or opt-out of personalized ads in your Android device settings.

• Withdrawal of Consent (Pencabutan Persetujuan): You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can do this by:

  1. Accessing the "Privacy Settings" or "Update Ad Consent" option within the app (if applicable).

  2. Resetting your Advertising ID or turning off personalized ads in your device settings: Settings > Google > Ads > Delete/Reset Advertising ID.

b. Google Firebase

• Firestore: Used to securely store community reports and AI-generated explanations.

• Remote Config: Used to optimize app settings and API keys dynamically.

• Crashlytics: Used to identify and fix technical issues.

c. Groq AI

• Context: We use Groq AI to generate deep insights (tafsir/syarah) for Quranic verses and Hadiths.

• Data Sharing: NO personal user data is sent to the AI service. Only the specific religious text and language preference are shared to generate interpretations.

3. Special Permissions and Background Usage

a. Prayer Times & Adzan

• Background: The app runs services in the background (WorkManager and AlarmManager) to ensure Adzan notifications sound on time.

• Battery Optimization: To prevent Adzan from being missed, the app may request permission to ignore battery optimizations on certain Android versions.

b. Exact Alarms

• We use the SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM permission to ensure prayer alerts are mathematically accurate to the minute.

4. Data Security (Encrypted Storage)

We take data security seriously.

• Local Encryption: We use SQLCipher to encrypt our local database, ensuring your pinned content and settings are protected on the device.

• Encrypted Transmission: All communications with our servers (Firebase) use HTTPS/TLS encryption.

5. Children's Privacy

QHDaily does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental supervision. The app is designed for educational and spiritual purposes.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy. We advise you to review this page periodically. Changes are effective immediately after being posted.
