Playfold is developed and published by Button Burrow Games.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Playfold. Playfold is designed as an offline-friendly puzzle game and does not require you to create an account.
Playfold stores game information locally on your device, including:
Game progress and completed puzzles
Scores, high scores, statistics, streaks, and achievements
Hint and coin balances
Selected themes and game settings
Unlocked features and purchase entitlements
Temporary-access expiry times
Enrichment Lab votes and experiment state
This information is used to provide the game’s features. Button Burrow Games does not operate a cloud account or cloud-save system for this information.
Local information will generally remain on the device until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app. Some purchases may be restored using ownership information supplied by Google Play.
Playfold uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to improve its features, reliability, and design.
Analytics events may include:
App launches and screen views
Game selections, difficulty selections, and game-mode use
Puzzle starts, completions, and outcomes
Feature usage and feature-access events
Rewarded-ad access events
Purchase and entitlement events
Enrichment Lab access and voting events
App version, device type, operating-system information, and diagnostic information
Playfold does not intentionally send your name, email address, puzzle contents, payment-card details, or precise GPS location through its custom analytics events.
Where required, analytics collection is controlled by the consent choices presented within the app. Analytics information is processed by Google according to Google’s privacy terms.
Playfold uses Google AdMob to provide optional rewarded advertisements. Playfold does not require you to watch advertisements between puzzles. A rewarded advertisement is shown only after you choose an advertised reward or temporary-access option.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process information including:
IP address, which may be used to estimate a general location
Advertising ID, App Set ID, or similar device identifiers
App launches, taps, advertisement views, and advertisement interactions
Device, app, diagnostic, and performance information
Information used for advertising, analytics, security, and fraud prevention
Your available privacy and consent options can be reviewed from the privacy controls within Playfold. You can also reset or delete your Android advertising ID through your device settings.
Choosing not to watch a rewarded advertisement does not prevent you from playing the normal puzzle games.
Playfold uses Google Play Billing for optional digital products, including hint packs, coin packs, temporary hint access, permanent feature packs, supporter content, and time-limited Enrichment Lab access.
Google Play processes the payment transaction. Button Burrow Games does not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details.
Playfold receives limited purchase information from Google Play, such as:
Product identifier
Purchase status
Purchase token
Purchase time
Acknowledgement or consumption status
Current product ownership
This information is used to deliver purchases, restore eligible permanent products, apply time-limited access, and respond to refunds or revoked purchases.
For the 30-day Enrichment Lab rental, Playfold stores an access-expiry time locally and removes access when the rental period ends. Google Play manages the transaction, while Playfold manages the expiry of the in-app access.
Purchase and transaction information may also be processed by Google under Google Play’s applicable terms and privacy policy. Google describes a purchase token as a value representing a user’s entitlement to a Google Play product. Google Play Billing overview
The Enrichment Lab provides experimental or preview content.
Playfold may locally store:
Whether temporary access is active
When that access expires
Which experiment and version were displayed
Your thumbs-up or thumbs-down vote
Whether a vote has already been submitted from that installation
A corresponding analytics event may be sent to Firebase to measure general interest in an experiment. Playfold does not currently operate a user-account database or public voting profile, and votes are not associated with a name or email address supplied to Button Burrow Games.
Information processed through Playfold and its service providers may be used to:
Operate game features
Save progress and settings
Deliver purchases and temporary access
Restore eligible purchases
Provide optional rewarded advertisements
Understand app and feature usage
Measure interest in experimental content
Diagnose errors and improve performance
Prevent fraud, misuse, and invalid advertising activity
Meet legal and platform requirements
Button Burrow Games does not sell personal information.

Google acts according to its own terms, privacy policies, and legal obligations. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the developer, or the service.

You can:
Decline optional rewarded advertisements
Choose not to make purchases or rentals

Change advertising-ID settings through Android
Clear Playfold’s locally stored data through Android settings
Uninstall Playfold
Use applicable Google account and advertising privacy controls
Clearing app data or uninstalling the app may remove local progress, settings, balances, votes, statistics, and locally recorded temporary access.
Playfold is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed toward children. Button Burrow Games does not knowingly request names, contact information, or account registrations from children through Playfold.
If you believe that a child has supplied personal information directly to Button Burrow Games, contact us so the matter can be investigated and addressed.
Playfold uses established Google platform services for analytics, advertising, consent, and billing. Google states that data collected through the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.
No method of electronic processing or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Google and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where applicable, this processing is governed by Google’s contractual and legal safeguards.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Playfold’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this policy will be updated when material changes are published.
