PRIVACY POLICY FOR NOTILOG

NotiLog ("the app", "we") is a notification-history application for Android. This policy explains what the app accesses, what it stores, and — most importantly — what it never does. NotiLog is built to be private by design.
THE SHORT VERSION
NotiLog does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. The app has no internet permission, so your information cannot leave your device — there are no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising.
WHAT THE APP ACCESSES
To provide notification history, NotiLog uses Android's Notification Access (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE). With your explicit permission, this lets the app read the notifications your other apps post — such as the app name, title, text, time, and message contents. This is the core function of the app and it cannot work without this permission. Before you grant it, the app shows a full-screen explanation and asks you to confirm you understand.
WHAT THE APP STORES, AND WHERE
Notifications you allow to be captured are stored only on your device, in a private application database that other apps cannot read. This may include the notification's app, title, text, timestamps, channel, and message lines.
The app also stores your settings (such as retention length, excluded apps, and lock preference) locally on the device.
WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO
- It does not have permission to access the internet. It cannot upload, sync, back up, or transmit your data anywhere.
- It does not collect analytics or usage tracking.
- It does not contain advertising or advertising SDKs.
- It does not require an account, email, or sign-in.
- It does not share your data with us or any third party — there is no mechanism by which it could.
YOUR CONTROL OVER YOUR DATA
- Exclude apps: you can exclude any app so its notifications are never stored.
- Retention: you choose how long history is kept (e.g. 3, 7, 30, or 90 days); older entries are automatically deleted.
- Delete: you can delete individual entries, a selection, or a whole app's history at any time.
- Pause: you can pause capturing entirely.
- Sensitive content: notifications that look like one-time codes (OTPs) can be set to auto-delete after an hour or to never be stored.
- Uninstall: uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored data from your device.
SECURITY
Data is stored in the app's private storage. You can additionally require your fingerprint or device PIN to open the app, and the app blocks screenshots of its screens while that lock is enabled.
PERMISSIONS SUMMARY
- Notification access — to read and record your notifications (the app's core purpose).
- Post notifications (optional) — only for the app's own occasional notices (for example, "storage limit reached"). The app works without it.
- No internet permission — the app cannot access the network.
CHILDREN
NotiLog is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It collects no data.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, note the change in the app.
