NotchTick respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the NotchTick macOS application.
NotchTick is a macOS utility designed to make the MacBook notch more useful by providing features such as file access, clipboard history, mirror functionality, and other productivity tools.
NotchTick is designed with privacy in mind. Wherever possible, your information is processed and stored locally on your Mac.
NotchTick does not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or address to use the app.
Depending on the features you choose to use, NotchTick may access certain information on your device.
If you enable or use the clipboard history feature, NotchTick may access content that you copy to your macOS clipboard.
Clipboard information is used only to provide clipboard-related functionality inside the app.
Clipboard history is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
You should avoid copying sensitive information such as passwords, financial information, authentication codes, or other confidential information when clipboard history is enabled.
NotchTick may allow you to drag, store, pin, or access files through the notch interface.
Files you select remain on your device. NotchTick does not upload your files to our servers.
The application may store file references or related information locally so that selected files can continue to appear inside NotchTick.
NotchTick may request access to your Mac's camera when you use features such as the mirror.
Camera access is used only when required to provide the feature you initiate.
NotchTick does not record, upload, or transmit camera footage to our servers.
You can manage camera access at any time through:
System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera
NotchTick may store preferences and settings locally on your device, including information such as:
App preferences
Notch behavior settings
Pinned or recently used items
Clipboard history, if enabled
Premium feature status
Other settings necessary for the application to function
This information is primarily stored locally on your Mac.
NotchTick may offer optional premium features through one-time purchases or subscriptions.
If purchases are made through Apple's App Store or Apple payment infrastructure, payment information is processed by Apple.
NotchTick does not directly receive or store your full credit card or payment details.
Apple may provide the app with limited purchase information, such as whether a purchase or subscription is active, so that premium features can be enabled.
Apple's handling of your information is governed by Apple's own privacy policies.
NotchTick does not use your personal files, clipboard contents, or camera content for advertising or profiling.
If anonymous diagnostic information is collected by Apple or macOS, it is handled according to your device and Apple privacy settings.
Information accessed by NotchTick is used only to:
Provide the features of the application
Save your preferences
Restore app functionality between sessions
Determine access to premium features
Maintain the reliability and functionality of the app
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your clipboard contents, files, or camera information for targeted advertising.
NotchTick does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Information may be disclosed only when required by law or when reasonably necessary to comply with a valid legal obligation.
Services operated by third parties, such as Apple for purchases and distribution, may process limited information according to their own privacy policies.
Information such as preferences, clipboard history, and file references may remain stored locally on your device until:
You remove the information within NotchTick;
You reset the relevant feature;
You uninstall the application; or
macOS removes the associated application data.
The exact behavior may depend on macOS and your device configuration.
Certain NotchTick features may require macOS permissions.
Depending on the features you use, these may include:
Camera access
File access
Accessibility or system permissions
Other macOS permissions required to provide specific functionality
NotchTick requests permissions only when they are required for a feature.
You can review or revoke permissions at any time through:
System Settings → Privacy & Security
Some features may stop working if the required permission is disabled.
We take reasonable measures to design NotchTick so that sensitive information remains on your device whenever possible.
However, no software or storage system can guarantee complete security.
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their Mac, macOS account, passwords, and other device credentials.
