Privacy Policy for Meds Reminder
Introduction
Meds Reminder ("the App") is a mobile application developed by AntoTech ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App.
The App is designed to help users manage medications and first aid supplies with features such as multi-user medication profiles, reminders, AI-powered assistance (for scanning medicine boxes, summarizing drug information, and checking interactions), and offline storage of personal health data.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in our data practices. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App operates primarily offline, with user data stored locally on your device. We do not collect or store personal data on our own servers. Some optional features (such as AI assistance or ads, if enabled) may involve third-party services that follow their own privacy practices.
Information We Collect
1. Information You Provide
Medication & First Aid Data: Names of medications, dosages, reasons for intake, prescribing doctor, schedules, inventory, expiration dates, and first aid items are stored locally on your device.
Profiles: You can create multiple user profiles (e.g., family members), and all their data remains on your device.
Preferences: Language settings, notification preferences, and other app configurations are stored locally.
2. Automatically Collected Information
Device and Usage Data: Non-personal information such as device type, operating system, and app version may be collected by third-party services.
Ad-Related Data (if ads are enabled): The App may display ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), IP address, approximate location, and usage data to serve ads. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.
3. AI-Powered Assistance
When using the medicine scanning or drug information features, the App may send only the necessary image or medication name to an external AI service (Gemini API) for processing.
No personal identifiers (such as your name, email, or device ID) are transmitted.
4. No Sensitive Data Collected
The App does not require account creation, login, or registration.
We do not collect sensitive data such as financial, biometric, or government identification details.
How We Use Your Information
App Functionality: Data stored locally is used to manage medication schedules, reminders, history, and first aid supplies.
AI Features: External services process only the information strictly needed to recognize medicines or provide medical summaries.
Advertising: If ads are shown, AdMob independently manages them; we do not control or access their collected data.
Analytics & Improvements: Third-party services may provide anonymous performance insights to improve the App.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Sharing of Information
Google AdMob: For displaying ads (if enabled). Data handling is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
Gemini API (Google AI): For scanning and drug information features. Only non-identifiable input (medicine name or image) is transmitted.
No Other Sharing: We do not share your data with other third parties, except if required by law.
Data Security
All your medication data, reminders, and profiles are stored locally on your device.
You are responsible for keeping your device secure, as loss of device security may expose your stored data.
Third-party services (e.g., AdMob, Gemini AI) apply their own security measures.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it. Parents or guardians should supervise children’s use of the App.
Your Rights and Choices
Access & Control: You can view, edit, or delete your data directly on your device (by clearing the App’s local storage).
Ads: You may disable personalized ads via your device’s advertising settings (reset Advertising ID or opt out of interest-based ads).
Permissions: The App may request permissions such as camera (for scanning medicines), notifications (for reminders), and internet (for ads and AI features). You can manage these in your device settings.
GDPR/CCPA Compliance: If you are in the EU or California, you may have rights to access, delete, or opt out of data sales. Since we do not collect or sell personal data, you can contact us for assistance.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted in the App or on our website (if applicable). Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance.
