This Privacy Policy describes how HydrateMe ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you use our Android application. We built HydrateMe to work fully offline and to respect your privacy by design — this policy explains exactly what that means in practice.

Summary: HydrateMe does not collect, store on any server, or share any of your personal data with third parties. The app works entirely offline and requests only one permission — notifications — to send you hydration reminders.

1. Information We Collect

HydrateMe does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

• We do not require account creation, sign-up, or login of any kind.

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personally identifiable information.

• We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind.

• We do not have a backend server, and the App does not request internet access — no data is ever transmitted off your device.

Any information you enter into the App — such as your weight, activity level, daily hydration goal, and water intake logs — is stored only locally on your device, inside the App's private storage. This data is never uploaded, synced, or made accessible to us or to anyone else.

2. Permissions We Request

HydrateMe requests only the following permission:

• Notifications — used solely to send you local hydration reminders that you configure within the App (for example, reminding you to drink water during your chosen active hours). These notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on your device; no notification content or data is sent to us or any third party.

We do not request permission to access your contacts, camera, microphone, location, storage, call logs, or any other device data.

3. How We Use Your Information

Because all data you enter stays on your device and is never transmitted to us, we do not use, process, analyze, or otherwise handle your personal information in any way. The data exists solely to power the App's own features (such as showing your progress and history) for your personal use.

4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share any of your personal data with third parties, advertisers, analytics providers, or any other organization — because we do not collect or have access to that data in the first place.

5. Data Storage and Security

All data created within HydrateMe (intake logs, goals, settings, and preferences) is stored locally on your device using standard Android app-sandboxed storage. This data:

• Is never transmitted over the internet, since the App does not use an internet connection.

• Is automatically removed if you uninstall the App or clear its app data/storage from your device settings.

• Is not backed up to any cloud service by the App itself. (Note: if you have Android's system-level "Back up to Google Drive" feature enabled, your device's operating system may include this App's local data in its own backup — this is a device-level Android feature, not something HydrateMe initiates or controls.)

6. Children's Privacy

HydrateMe is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect any Personal Information from children through the App. As stated throughout this policy, the App does not collect personal information from any user, of any age. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please note that no such information is transmitted to us, as no data leaves the device at any point.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Because all data is stored exclusively on your device, you are always in full control of it:

• You can view, edit, or reset your data at any time within the App's Settings screen.

• You can permanently delete all App data by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage via your device's Android system settings.

• Since we never receive or store your data on any server, there is no external copy for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf.

8. Third-Party Services

HydrateMe does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics platforms. The App is self-contained and does not communicate with any external service.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the App's features or to comply with updated Google Play policies. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
