Welcome to CarLog (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how miguellugodev ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
To provide vehicle management features, we may collect and store the following types of data:
Vehicle Information: Make, model, year, license plate, mileage, and other technical details you explicitly enter.
Cost and Service Records: Information about fuel fill-ups, maintenance services, costs, and dates.
User Content: Photos of your vehicles and images of invoices or receipts that you choose to attach to your records.
2. Device Permissions
The App requests access to certain device features to function correctly:
Camera: We request access to the camera so you can take photos of your vehicles or capture images of receipts and invoices directly within the app.
Photo Library: We request access to your photo gallery so you can select and upload existing images of your vehicles or documents.
These images are stored locally on your device and/or on our cloud servers (if cloud backup is enabled) solely for your personal use within the app.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
To provide a free version of the App, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements.
AdMob may use device identifiers (such as IDFA) and approximate location data to show relevant ads.
You can manage your tracking preferences via the iOS "App Tracking Transparency" (ATT) prompt or in your device settings.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
CarLog offers Premium subscriptions.
Payment Processing: All transactions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system (iTunes Store). We do not collect or have access to your financial information, such as credit card numbers.
Subscription Status: We keep a record of your subscription status (active/inactive) to unlock Premium features.
5. Data Storage and Cloud
If you use cloud backup features or log in, your data (vehicle info, logs, and photos) is securely transferred to and stored on third-party servers (such as Google Firebase) to enable cross-device synchronization and data recovery.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
