Bug ID ("the App") is developed by Super Cloud. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our AI insect identification application.
Bug ID does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically:
Camera: Used solely for real-time insect identification. Images are processed locally on your device or via secure API calls. We do not store any photos.
Photo Library: Used only when you choose to upload a photo for identification. We do not retain uploaded images.
AI Identification: Insect photos sent to AI providers (Zhipu AI, Qwen, Google Gemini) are used exclusively for identification purposes and are not stored or used for training.
Insect Collection: Insects you save to your collection are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to our servers.
The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use the advertising identifier (AD_ID) on your device to serve personalized ads, in accordance with Google's advertising privacy policies. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings. For more information, see Google's Advertising Policy.
In-app subscriptions (Bug ID Pro) are processed through RevenueCat and the official app stores (Google Play / Apple App Store). We do not see or store your payment details. Purchase data is handled according to the store's privacy policies.
All identification history, collections and achievements are stored locally on your device.
Photo data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections when sent to AI providers for identification.
No account or registration is required to use the App.
Bug ID provides educational identification information only. Venom, bite and sting information shown in the App is a general educational guide and is NOT medical advice or a medical diagnosis. If you are bitten or stung and symptoms are severe or escalating, seek professional medical care immediately.
The App is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
