History & Bookmarks Exporter Pro ("we", "our", or "the Extension") values and respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when using our Chrome extension.
2. DATA PROCESSING & ZERO DATA COLLECTION
- All browsing history searches, bookmarks extraction, and file format conversions (CSV, XLSX, JSON, HTML) are executed 100% locally within your browser's memory on your own device.
- We DO NOT collect, store, sell, or transmit your browsing history, bookmarks, or downloaded files to any external servers or third parties.
- All export processing is strictly client-side.
3. PERMISSIONS AND USAGE RATIONALE
The extension requests only the permissions strictly necessary to deliver its features:
- "history"
Purpose: Allows the extension to query and retrieve your local Chrome browsing history only when you initiate a history export or preview.
- "bookmarks"
Purpose: Allows the extension to read your saved bookmarks and folder structure only when you initiate a bookmarks export or preview.
- "downloads"
Purpose: Required to trigger the download of the generated CSV, Excel (.xlsx), JSON, or HTML export files directly to your device.
- "storage"
Purpose: Used to save your local UI preferences (such as selected date formatting style) and to securely persist subscription/trial status across browser sessions.
- "cookies"
Purpose: Used solely to read and store the trial start timestamp for myexthub.com to manage the free trial period fairly and prevent unauthorized trial resets upon reinstallation.
- Host Permission ("https://myexthub.com/*")
Purpose: Required to communicate with our licensing backend and account dashboard to authenticate the user and verify active Pro subscription status.
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & PAYMENTS
Payment processing and subscription authentication are managed securely through https://myexthub.com. We do not store or process payment card details directly within the extension.
