Welcome to SystemPulse!
This Privacy Policy explains how SystemPulse ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your data. We believe in complete transparency, so we've written this in simple, easy-to-understand language.
The Short Version: We don't collect, store, or share your personal data. Everything stays on your device.
SystemPulse accesses the following information only on your device:
CPU usage percentage
RAM (memory) usage and availability
Battery level and charging status
Device temperature from system sensors
Why we need this: This is the core functionality of SystemPulse - to show you how your device is performing.
What we do with it: Display it to you in real-time and store it locally on your device for historical charts.
What we DON'T do: We do not upload this data anywhere. It never leaves your device.
List of currently running applications
App names and package names
Memory and CPU usage per app
When each app was last used
Why we need this: To show you which apps are consuming resources in the App Watchdog feature.
What we do with it: Display it to you so you can decide which apps to close.
What we DON'T do: We do not track what you do inside those apps. We only see that they're running and how much resources they use.
All performance data is stored in a local database on your device
Historical data is kept for 7 to 90 days (you choose in Settings)
You can delete all data anytime from the Settings screen
We do NOT upload your data to any servers
We do NOT sync your data to the cloud
We do NOT backup your data remotely
We do NOT collect your name, email, or phone number
We do NOT collect your location
We do NOT collect your device ID or advertising ID
We do NOT track your browsing history
Here's exactly why we need each permission:
What Android shows: "Allow usage tracking"
Why we need it: This is required by Android to see which apps are running and their memory/CPU usage. Without this, the App Watchdog feature cannot work.
What we do: Read the list of running apps and their resource consumption.
What we DON'T do: We do not track what you do inside apps, what websites you visit, or what messages you send.
How to revoke: Settings → Apps → Special Access → Usage Access → SystemPulse → Turn OFF
What Android shows: "Show notifications"
Why we need it: To alert you when your device has high RAM usage (over 90%), high CPU usage (over 85%), or high temperature (over 45°C).
What we do: Send you local notifications on your device.
What we DON'T do: We do not send push notifications from a server. All notifications are generated locally.
How to revoke: Settings → Apps → SystemPulse → Notifications → Turn OFF
What Android shows: "Access photos, media, and files"
Why we need it: Only when you want to export your performance data as a CSV or PDF file.
What we do: Save the exported file to your Downloads folder.
What we DON'T do: We do not read your photos, videos, or other files. We only write export files when you request them.
How to revoke: Settings → Apps → SystemPulse → Permissions → Storage → Deny
What Android shows: "Run in background"
Why we need it: To continue monitoring your device performance even when you're not using SystemPulse.
What we do: Monitor CPU, RAM, battery, and temperature every 30 seconds and save the data locally.
What we DON'T do: We do not drain your battery excessively (uses about 2-5% per day).
How to disable: Settings → Background Monitoring → Turn OFF
What Android shows: "Full network access"
Why we need it:
To show advertisements (in free version)
To process in-app purchases (for premium subscriptions)
What we do: Connect to Google's ad servers and billing servers.
What we DON'T do: We do not upload your performance data or personal information to the internet.
SystemPulse uses the following third-party services:
