Ambrax Video Player operates as an on-device, local multimedia utility.
• No Remote Uploads: Your personal media files—including local videos, music, audio recordings, WhatsApp statuses, PDF documents, and external subtitle files (.srt, .vtt)—remain entirely stored on your physical device. We NEVER upload, transfer, backup, or mirror your personal media files to any remote server or third-party cloud service.
• No Account Registration: You are not required to create an account, register with an email address, or log in with social media credentials to use the application.
• Local Data Storage: Playlists, playback history, resume positions, favorites, search history, and user settings are stored strictly in local device databases (SQLite/Room) and Android SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it manually.

3. PERMISSIONS & PURPOSE SPECIFICATION

To provide core media playback, document viewing, and status saving functionality in full compliance with Google Play Developer Program Policies (including Android 13/14+ granular media permissions and Google Play Foreground Service policies), the App requests the following permissions:
A. Media & Storage Permissions:
• READ_MEDIA_VIDEO & READ_MEDIA_AUDIO (Android 13+ / API 33+): Used exclusively to index, browse, organize, and play video and audio files stored locally on your device storage or SD card.
• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES & READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED (Android 14+ / API 34+): Used to:
1. Generate visual thumbnails for your local video files to facilitate library navigation.
2. Provide the WhatsApp status viewer & saver feature, allowing you to preview and locally save image statuses upon your explicit action.
3. Load album art or custom cover images for audio tracks.
• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE & WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below / API <= 32): Required on legacy Android versions to discover media on storage and save user-requested downloaded status files to the device's public media directories.
• Document & Subtitle File Access (Storage Access Framework): When you open a local PDF document in the built-in document reader or load an external subtitle file (.srt, .vtt), the app uses the system document picker to access and render only the specific file you selected.
B. Foreground Service & Media Playback Controls:
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK: In compliance with Google Play Foreground Service guidelines, this permission is used solely to maintain uninterrupted background audio and video playback when the user minimizes the app or turns off the screen.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+ / API 33+): Used strictly to display active media playback notifications in your system notification shade, offering quick playback controls (Play, Pause, Skip, Previous, Close) and track metadata. We do not use notifications for marketing or promotional push campaigns.
C. Network & Streaming Permissions:
• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to:
1. Stream online videos, IPTV channels, or network streams (e.g., HLS/m3u8, MP4, DASH) that you explicitly input or request.
2. Request and render advertisements served through Google AdMob.
3. Check active network connectivity before attempting to load online streams or ads.
D. Advertising Identifier:
• com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID: Used by Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) in compliance with Google Play's Advertising ID policy to deliver relevant ads and prevent fraudulent ad impressions.
E. System & Display:
• WAKE_LOCK: Prevents the screen from dimming or going to sleep while a video is actively playing.

6. DATA RETENTION & USER DATA DELETION POLICY

1. Local App Data Deletion:
Because all playback history, search records, playlists, and cached thumbnails reside strictly on your physical device, you have complete control over your data at all times. You can permanently delete all locally stored application data immediately by:
• Navigating to your device Settings > Apps > Ambrax Video Player > Storage > Clear Data / Clear Cache, or
• Uninstalling the application from your device.
2. Customer Support Correspondence Deletion:
We do not operate a remote user account database. If you have contacted our developer support email (as772685@gmail.com) for technical assistance or feature requests and wish to have your email communication records permanently deleted, please send a deletion request to as772685@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
