Thank you for choosing MindLog. We deeply value your privacy, especially since this application is used to record your private thoughts, feelings, and mental well-being. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the MindLog application.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly:

• Account Information: When you register via Email or Google Sign-In, we collect your email address, display name, and User ID (UID).

• Journal & Chat Content: Your diary entries, conversation history with the AI Assistant, mood data, and personalization settings (themes, language, reminders, AI persona).

• Local Security: PIN codes (if enabled) are stored exclusively on your device.

B. Information Collected Automatically:

• Basic usage analytics such as access times, daily streaks, and AI interaction metrics (AI fetch count). We do not track your GPS location or access your contacts.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to provide and improve the MindLog service, including:

• Providing core application functionality (saving journals, mood tracking, cross-device synchronization).

• Generating insights and conversational responses using Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Verifying your premium subscription status.

• Sending daily reminder notifications (based on your settings).

3. Device Permissions

MindLog may request access to certain device features:

• Internet: For cloud synchronization and AI processing.

• Biometrics (FaceID/Fingerprint): For the App Lock feature. Important: Biometric data is processed entirely by your device's operating system; we never collect or store your biometric data.

• Notifications: To send daily journal reminders.

• Camera & Gallery (Optional): Only if you choose to attach photos to your journal entries.

4. Third-Party Services & AI Processing

MindLog integrates with trusted third-party services:

• Firebase / Google Cloud: Used for account authentication and cloud database storage.

• AI Service Providers (e.g., OpenAI, Groq, etc.): To provide chat responses and insights, your journal text and prompts are securely sent to our AI providers' API. These providers are bound by data privacy agreements and do not use your private journal data to train their public language models.

• Payment Systems: Google Play Billing or Apple App Store are used to process In-App Purchases. We do not collect or store your credit card information.

5. Data Storage and Security

Our application uses an Offline-First and Cloud-Sync system. Your data is stored locally on your device and securely synchronized to Firebase (Google Cloud) for backup. We are committed to maintaining data security using industry-standard encryption. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure; you are also responsible for maintaining your account security and enabling the App Lock features we provide.

6. Data Deletion & User Rights (CRITICAL)

MindLog respects your right to control your data. You have the right to:

• Access & Download: View your journals anytime within the app.

• Permanent Deletion: You can request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data (journals, mood logs, and account info) from our servers.
