Our Terms and Conditions

By downloading or using our apps, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using our apps.

You are not allowed to copy, modify or extract any part of our apps – including the videos contained within. You are not allowed to translate our app into other languages or redistributed it in any way. Our apps themselves and the videos contained within remain the exclusive intellectually property and copyright of David Phillips and Finley Smith. We do not accept any responsibility for loss or harm caused by the use of our apps.

You understand that our apps are not endorsed or associated in any way with MIT Media Lab or the official Scratch website. Scratch is developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab. See scratch.mit.edu for more details. The Scratch logo and cat are trademarks of MIT Media Lab.

Sometimes our apps are updated. Due to the large size of our apps, we recommend against updating our apps whilst on a mobile cellular connection. We accept no responsibility for any data charges incurred as a result of the use of our apps.

Privacy Policy

Our apps collect and process certain personal data - such as how long you use our app and your country - via third party services Google Analytics, AdMob, Google Play Services, Firebase and Fabric, which are all ultimately controlled by Alphabet Inc. We have linked their privacy policies, which are freely available on their respective websites. Whilst we do collect personal information for the purpose of troubleshooting and the efficient running of our apps, this data is always amalgamated into a large data set and no personally identifying data is included. We never ask for any personally identifiable information, such as your name or gender. You have a right to, at any time, contact us to ask how your personal data has been stored and used.

Children’s Privacy (COPPA ACT)

Our apps are not primarily targeted at children under 13. However, we may collect the following information from children under the age of 13:

  • App usage statistics and demographics data such as approximate location and language.

We do not collect any other personally identifiable data. We only use this data for the purpose of troubleshooting and the efficient running of our apps. This information is disclosed to Alphabet Inc. We never ask any child under the age of 13 to provide personal data.

We may update our Terms and Privacy Policy from time to time and you are advised to check this page from time to time for any changes. Any changes are effective immediately.
