This Privacy Policy explains how DecorAI handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
1. Information We Collect
Anonymous identifier — a random ID assigned to your device when you first use the app. This is used to save your scan history.
Room photos — photos you choose to upload are transmitted to an AI service for analysis. They are not stored on our servers after processing.
Scan results — the text results of your AI analysis (style, suggestions, palette) are stored in our database linked to your anonymous ID.
Usage data — we track how many scans you perform per day to enforce fair usage limits.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect:
• Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
• Your location
• Device identifiers beyond the anonymous app ID
• Payment information
3. How We Use Your Information
Your anonymous ID is used solely to save and retrieve your scan history within the app. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the DecorAI service.
4. Third-Party AI Services
Room photos you upload are sent to one or more of the following AI services for analysis: Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or OpenRouter. Each service processes your image to generate decoration suggestions. Please review their respective privacy policies for information on how they handle data:

5. Data Storage
Scan results are stored in Google Firebase Firestore, a secure cloud database. Your data is linked to your anonymous device ID only. Firebase security rules ensure that only requests from your device can access your data.
6. Data Retention
Your scan history is retained until you delete individual scans within the app, or until the app is uninstalled (which destroys your anonymous ID). We do not retain data after it is deleted.
7. Children's Privacy
DecorAI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used our service, please contact us.
8. Your Rights
Since we do not collect personal information, most data protection rights (access, correction, portability) are satisfied by the app itself — you can view and delete all your data directly in the app. To request complete deletion of data associated with your anonymous ID, please contact us.
9. Security
We use Firebase security rules and HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. API keys you provide are stored using your device's secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain) and never transmitted to our servers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
