Status Saver ("we", "the app") is an independent Android application that
allows users to save status media files that are already cached on their own
device. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app does and does
not handle.
We do not collect any personal data.
We do not connect to any server.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
We do not share anything with third parties.
Everything happens on your device.
Status Saver reads files from a folder you explicitly grant access to via
Android's system folder picker (Storage Access Framework). Specifically, the
app reads cached status files that your messaging app has already saved to
local storage on your device.
The app only reads files; it does not modify or delete them.
File access is granted by you through a system dialog. You can revoke
access at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Status Saver → Permissions.
No file is ever uploaded, transmitted, or shared outside your device.
When you choose to save a status, the app copies the file to your device's
photo gallery in an album named "Status Saver". These saved files remain on
your device and are managed by you.
Status Saver does not collect, store, transmit, or process any of the
following:
Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
Device identifiers (advertising ID, IMEI, serial number)
Location data
Contacts, calendar, or call logs
Usage analytics or telemetry
Crash reports
Any content or metadata from the files it reads
Status Saver does not make any network requests. The app has no backend
server. It functions entirely offline.

on-device functionality only. None of them transmit data to any server on
behalf of this app:
permission_handler — manages runtime permissions
path_provider — accesses temporary directories
shared_preferences — stores your disclaimer acceptance locally
gal — writes media to the device gallery
video_player / chewie — plays video previews
video_thumbnail — generates video thumbnails
device_info_plus — detects the Android version to choose the right file
access method
Status Saver is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly
collect any personal information from anyone, regardless of age.
Status Saver is a tool. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have
permission to save and retain any content accessed through the app. The app
does not grant you rights to redistribute, repost, or commercially use any
content. The copyright of any saved media belongs to the original creator.
Status Saver is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed
by, sponsored by, or connected to any messaging service, platform, or their
parent companies. All trademarks referenced remain the property of their
respective owners.
