Effective Date: June 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Snap PDF Scan (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
To provide and improve our document visualization, scanning, and file organization services, we collect the following types of data:
Voluntary Submissions: Email addresses and message contents provided directly by you when initiating customer support tickets or sharing product feedback.
System Localization Data: Basic technical indicators such as unique device signatures (e.g., Android ID), active system language settings, and current time zone configurations.
We process document-centric materials under strict confidentiality protocols to deliver our core application utilities, including:
Local Document Assets: Accessing your device storage allows our rendering engine to display, annotate, or combine PDF files. All processing routines operate strictly offline on your physical hardware.
Visual Capture Data: Utilizing your built-in camera allows the scanning module to digitize physical receipts, contracts, or textbooks. The resulting graphical transformations occur locally and are never monitored.
Execution Metrics: Technical parameters of files (such as dimensions, formatting metadata, and average file sizes) are processed solely to verify software layout compatibility.
Your private documents, text inputs, and scanned paperwork are processed locally on your device. Your personal files are never uploaded to our servers.
Diagnostic Logs: Exception reports, software error codes, and system crash telemetry formatted strictly for debugging purposes.
Hardware Specifications: Device model names, underlying operating system versions, manufacturing brands, and display screen resolutions.
Interface Patterns: Aggregated, anonymous interaction metrics within the application to track feature usage frequencies without identifying individual users.
Your data is used to:
Execute document rendering, camera-based edge cropping, and file transformations.
Maintain software runtime stability and resolve layout or file-loading bugs.
Improve app functionality, fix technical bugs, and optimize text scaling algorithms.
Respond to your support inquiries and send essential service updates.
We do not use your personal document contents for marketing or external profile tracking.
All sensitive file-scanning data is processed locally on your device. No personal documents or file contents are transmitted to or stored on our servers. We employ industry-standard secure data handling methods, but cannot guarantee absolute protection from all threats. Because our architecture functions without remote cloud backups, you maintain complete, standalone custody of your documents.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or file information with third parties. Data may only be shared in these limited scenarios:
With your explicit consent.
If required by law, legal obligation, or subpoenas.
To trusted third-party tools for anonymized analytics, stability tracking, and contextual ad placements (non-file data only). These integrated platforms handle metadata under their own independent rules:
Google Play Services & AdMob: Google Privacy Policy
Firebase Analytics (Google): Firebase Terms
Facebook Audience Network: Meta Privacy Policy
