Privacy Policy for Status Saver - Photos & Videos
Effective Date: 27 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Status Saver - Photos & Videos ("Status Saver," "we," "our," or "the app") accesses, uses, shares and protects information when you use the application.
This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the Android application with the package identifier:
com.youngjulien.statussavervault
Status Saver is an independent media utility designed to help users view and save compatible status photos and videos that are already available on their device.
1. Information You Provide
Status Saver does not require you to create an account or provide personal details such as:
Name
Phone number
Email address
Password
Postal address
Payment information
The app does not operate a user-account system or maintain a developer-operated database of user profiles.
2. Status Media and Device Storage
Status Saver requires access to compatible status-media folders on your device to provide its primary functionality.
Depending on the Android version, the app may use:
Android's system folder picker
Storage Access Framework
MediaStore
Legacy storage access supported on older Android versions
The app uses this access to:
Display compatible status photos and videos available on your device.
Save photos and videos selected by you.
Display previously saved media.
Delete saved media when you explicitly request deletion.
Status media accessed by Status Saver is processed locally on your device. We do not operate a server that receives or stores your status photos, status videos or folder contents.
3. Saved Media
Media saved using Status Saver is stored locally in:
Pictures/StatusSaverWA
Saved media remains on your device until you delete it using Status Saver, another media/file-management application, or Android's storage tools.
Uninstalling Status Saver does not necessarily delete media that was previously saved to shared device storage.
Saved media in shared device storage may be accessible to you and to other applications that have applicable Android media or storage access. Status Saver does not encrypt media stored in the shared Pictures folder.
4. Local App Preferences
Status Saver stores limited application preferences locally on your device. These may include:
Previously selected folder references.
Persisted Android folder-access permissions.
Theme and display preferences.
Whether introductory instructions have been displayed.
Advertising timing and session-related settings.
Consent and privacy-choice information managed through Google's consent services.
These preferences are used only to operate app features and remember your selections.
5. Advertising and Google Mobile Ads
Status Saver uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements that support the free operation of the app.
According to Google, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or share information such as:
IP address, which may be used to estimate general or approximate location.
App interactions, including app launches, taps, ad interactions and video views.
Diagnostic and performance information, such as app launch time, hang rate and energy usage.
Device or account-related identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID and App Set ID where available.
Google may process this information for purposes including:
Advertising and ad delivery.
Advertising measurement.
Analytics.
Fraud prevention.
Security and compliance.
This technical and advertising-related information may be shared with or processed by Google according to Google's own privacy practices.
Status Saver does not intentionally provide the contents of your status photos, status videos or saved media to Google Mobile Ads or Google UMP.
6. Consent and Privacy Choices
Status Saver uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising consent and privacy choices where required.
Depending on your location and applicable requirements, the app may:
Display an advertising consent form.
Allow you to select applicable advertising and privacy preferences.
Provide a Privacy choices option when Google UMP indicates that it is required.
Allow you to modify or withdraw applicable advertising consent choices.
Advertising requests are made according to the consent status reported by Google UMP.
You may change applicable preferences later through the Privacy choices option when that option is available inside the app.
7. Permissions and Device Access
Status Saver requests or uses only the access required for its functionality and integrated advertising and consent services.
Media and folder access
On supported Android versions, Status Saver uses Android's system storage APIs and user-authorized folder access to read compatible status media and save selected photos or videos.
On older Android versions, legacy storage permissions may be used where required by Android.
Internet access
Internet connectivity is used by third-party advertising and consent services, including Google AdMob, Google Mobile Ads and Google UMP.
Status Saver does not request precise or approximate device-location permission for its core functionality. However, advertising services may estimate an approximate location using the device's IP address.
Limited compatibility checks
Status Saver may perform limited on-device checks to determine which compatible local media-storage location should be suggested through Android's folder picker.
These checks are performed locally and are not used by us to create a list or profile of the applications installed on your device.
8. User-Initiated Sharing and Open With
Status Saver provides Android's standard Share and Open With functionality.
Media is transferred to another application only when you intentionally select one of these actions and choose a compatible application.
When you intentionally share or open media, Android may provide the selected media to the application you choose using temporary access permission.
Any subsequent collection, use, storage or sharing performed by the selected application is governed by that application's own privacy policy and terms. We do not control how another application handles media after you choose to send or open it there.
9. Android Backup and Device Transfer
Depending on your Android backup, Google account and device-transfer settings, Android may back up or transfer certain app preferences, including interface settings and previously selected folder references.
This backup or transfer is controlled by Android and the user's device or Google account settings. We do not operate or control the Android backup service.
Status photos, status videos and media saved in shared Pictures storage are not intentionally uploaded by us through this feature.
Information retained by Android or Google through backup and device-transfer services is handled according to their applicable privacy policies and user settings.
10. Data We Do Not Upload to Our Servers
Status Saver does not operate a custom backend server for collecting status media or account information.
We do not upload to developer-operated servers:
Status photos.
Status videos.
Saved media.
Folder contents.
User accounts or login information.
Contacts.
Messages.
Precise GPS location.
Third-party services integrated into the app, including Google Mobile Ads and Google UMP, may process technical, consent and advertising-related information as described in this Privacy Policy.
11. Data Security
We minimize the information handled directly by Status Saver.
Status media and saved media are processed locally unless you intentionally choose to share or open media with another application.
According to Google, information transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS).
Third-party advertising, consent and Android backup services handle information according to their own security practices and privacy policies.
No method of local storage or electronic transmission is completely secure. Users should maintain appropriate security on their devices and control which applications receive access to their media.
12. Data Retention and Deletion
Status Saver does not maintain a developer-operated server database containing your status photos, videos or user-account information.
Media saved by the app remains on your device until you delete it.
You may:
Delete saved media from within Status Saver where the feature is available.
Delete saved media using Android or another file/media application.
Revoke folder or storage access through Android settings.
Clear Status Saver's local app data through Android settings.
Uninstall Status Saver from your device.
Reset or delete your Android Advertising ID using Android privacy settings.
Change applicable advertising/privacy choices through the app when Google's Privacy choices option is available.
Uninstalling the app may remove its local preferences, but media saved to shared Pictures storage may remain. Android backup may retain eligible preferences according to the user's backup settings and may restore them during reinstallation or device transfer.
Data processed by Google or another third-party service is subject to the retention and deletion practices described in that service's privacy policy.
13. Children's Privacy
Status Saver is not specifically designed or marketed as a children's application.
We do not knowingly ask children or other users to create an account or directly provide personal information through Status Saver.
The app's target-audience and advertising declarations on Google Play and Google AdMob will be maintained according to the app's intended audience and applicable requirements.
14. Third-Party Services
Status Saver currently uses the following third-party services:
Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK - advertising, measurement, analytics, diagnostics, security and fraud prevention.
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) - advertising consent and privacy choices.
Android backup and device-transfer services - optional system-controlled backup or transfer of eligible app preferences.
These services may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its functionality, third-party services or applicable requirements change.
Any updated Privacy Policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
Users are encouraged to review this page periodically for changes.
