This Privacy Policy describes how BashyalTeam ("we", "us", "our") handles
information when you use our Android application "Birthday Reminder Pro"
(the "App"). We designed the App so that your birthday data stays on your
device by default. We only process information in the cloud when you
create an optional account and enable cloud sync, or as required to run
free features (analytics, crash reporting, and advertising) described
below.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree,
please do not use the App.
1. INFORMATION STORED ONLY ON YOUR DEVICE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following data is stored locally on your device, inside the App's
private storage area, and is NEVER uploaded to our servers or to any
third party by the App:
• Birthday records you create (person's name, birth date, notes,
category, relationship, phone number, email address, reminder
settings, favorite/memorial flags).
• Photos and "memories" you attach to a birthday.
• Birthday posters you generate inside the App.
• Custom alarm sounds and sound effects you choose.
• App settings and preferences (theme, notification times, widgets).
• Data imported from your device contacts (see Section 2).
You can delete all of this at any time by deleting individual records in
the App, or by uninstalling the App (which erases the App's private
storage).
Note: If you enable Android's system-level backup feature, Google may
include this local data in your device backups under your own Google
account. That is a device-level Google feature outside our control.
2. CONTACTS ACCESS (READ-ONLY, LOCAL PROCESSING)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The App requests the READ_CONTACTS permission ONLY to let you pick a
contact and copy their name and birthday into the App, so you do not have
to type them manually.
• The App reads only the contact entries you select.
• Your contact list is NEVER uploaded, transmitted, synced, or shared
with us or any third party.
• Imported information is stored only in the App's local database
(and, if you explicitly enable cloud sync, see Section 4).
• You can revoke the permission anytime in Android Settings > Apps >
Birthday Reminder Pro > Permissions.
3. BIOMETRIC APP LOCK (OPTIONAL)

If you enable the app lock feature, fingerprint/face verification is
performed entirely by the Android operating system's BiometricPrompt API.
The App never receives, stores, transmits, or collects your biometric
data (fingerprints or face templates). The App only receives a "success
or fail" result from the system.
4. OPTIONAL ACCOUNT AND CLOUD SYNC (FIREBASE)

Creating an account is OPTIONAL. The App works fully without one. If you
choose to create an account and/or enable cloud sync:
A) Account data — processed by Google Firebase Authentication:
• Name and email address you provide.
• Your password (hashed by Google Firebase; we never see it).
Purpose: authentication, password reset emails, and to identify your
sync data.
B) Synced birthday data — stored in Google Cloud Firestore:
• Up to thirty (30) birthday records per account, containing the
person's name, birth date (day/month/year), note, category,
relationship, phone number, email address, favorite/memorial
flags, and your reminder preferences for that record.
Purpose: to back up your data and restore/sync it across your
devices when you are signed in.
This data is associated only with your account and is deleted when you
delete your account (see Section 9). We do not read, sell, or share
your synced birthday data for any other purpose.
5. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To keep the App free and to improve its stability, the App collects
limited technical information through Google Firebase services:
A) Firebase Analytics:
• Screen views (which screens are opened), feature usage counts
(for example, "a birthday profile was created" with settings such
as how many days before the event a reminder is set), app
version, device model, operating system version, language, and
approximate country (derived by Google from IP address).
• Analytics events do NOT include the names, birth dates, notes,
phone numbers, or email addresses of the people you add.
Purpose: understanding which features are used so we can improve
the App.
B) Firebase Crashlytics:
• Crash reports and diagnostic data (stack traces, device model,
OS version, time of crash, and the state of the App when it
crashed) when the App unexpectedly stops working.
Purpose: finding and fixing bugs.
C) Firebase Cloud Messaging:
• A registration token so the App can receive reminder/topic push
notifications you have enabled.
Purpose: delivering the notification features you requested.
D) Google AdMob (advertising) — see Section 6.
6. ADVERTISING (GOOGLE ADMOB)

The App is free and is supported by advertising served by Google AdMob
(banner, interstitial, and rewarded ad formats). AdMob may collect and
process the following to deliver ads and measure ad performance:
• Advertising ID (and limited device identifiers) of your device.
• Coarse device and network information (device model, OS version,
language, screen size, mobile operator).
• Interactions with ads (impressions, clicks).
• Approximate geographic region derived from your IP address by
Google (the App itself never accesses your GPS location and has NO
location permission).
CONSENT (GDPR): In regions where required (for example, the EEA/UK), the
App shows a Google consent form (User Messaging Platform) before
personalized ads are enabled. You may change or withdraw your consent at
any time in the App's settings or by resetting your advertising ID in
Android Settings > Privacy.
Google's use of your data for advertising is governed by:

7. ANDROID PERMISSIONS THE APP USES AND WHY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
• Internet & network state — cloud sync (optional), ads, crash
reporting.
• Notifications — birthday reminders you schedule.
• Full-screen intent, vibration, alarm, wake lock, foreground service
(media playback) — showing and sounding the birthday alarm you set.
• Exact alarm permissions — firing your reminder exactly at the time
you chose; on newer Android versions you can grant or deny this and
reminders will adapt.
• Receive boot completed — re-scheduling your reminders after the
device restarts.
• Read contacts — optional contact import (Section 2).
• Biometric permission — optional app lock (Section 3).
• Photos/Music & video access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_AUDIO
and legacy storage permissions on old Android versions) — letting
you attach a photo from your gallery to a memory, or pick a custom
alarm sound from your device. Files are copied into the App's
private storage; nothing is uploaded.
• Request to ignore battery optimizations — optional; helps reliable
delivery of alarms and reminders on some devices.
• Advertising ID permission — for the advertising described in
Section 6.
8. HOW THE APP USES "SHARE TO WHATSAPP"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The App lets you open a pre-filled birthday message in WhatsApp. When
you tap that button, the App simply opens WhatsApp (or asks you to
choose an app) with the message text filled in. Sending is your action,
performed inside WhatsApp. The App does not send any message itself and
does not share your data with WhatsApp beyond the message text you see
on screen.
9. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

• Local data: kept until you delete it in the App or uninstall the
App.
• Account and synced data: kept until you delete your account. The App
includes an account deletion option (Settings > Account > Delete
account) which permanently deletes your account, your synced
birthday records, and signs you out on all devices.
• Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics data: retained by Google according
to Google's retention policies (crash data is retained for a
limited period; analytics data may be retained up to 14 months
depending on your region).
• You may also request deletion or a copy of your data by emailing us
(see Section 15). We respond within a reasonable period and no
later than as required by applicable law.
10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum
age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. Because the App is supported by
advertising and uses analytics, it is rated for users aged 13 and above.
If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact
us so we can delete it.
11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by
its own privacy policy:
• Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics,
Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging):

The App may contain links to external sites (for example, when sharing
via WhatsApp). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of
external apps or sites.
12. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Firebase and AdMob data may be processed on Google servers located
outside your country. Google transfers data under its standard
contractual clauses and other legal transfer mechanisms. For details:

13. SECURITY

We protect your information using the following measures:
• Local data is stored in the App's private, sandboxed storage, which
other apps cannot read on non-rooted devices.
• All network communication uses encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.
• Cloud data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, protected by
security rules that limit access strictly to your own account.
• Passwords are hashed by Google Firebase Authentication; we never
see or store your password.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee
absolute security.
14. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, if you are in the European
Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California), you may have rights
including:
• Access — request a copy of your personal data.
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data.
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
• Portability — export your data (the App includes local backup/export
features for your birthday records).
• Withdraw consent — withdraw advertising consent via the consent form
or your Android advertising ID settings; delete your account at any
time in the App.
• Complaint — lodge a complaint with your local data protection
authority.
To exercise any right, contact us using Section 15, or use the in-App
controls where available (account deletion, data export, notification
and permission settings).

of material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App or on
this page and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of
the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated
policy.
