Some information, such as location coordinates and app preferences, may be stored locally on the user's device solely to provide app functionality.
2. Location Permission
Our app requests access to your device location to provide accurate prayer times based on your current location.
Location permission is requested only when you open the Prayer Times screen or request location updates.
Location access is requested only when needed and can be denied by the user at any time.
Location coordinates are cached locally on your device only to enable offline prayer time calculation. They are never uploaded or shared with any third party.
Location data is never shared with any third parties or external servers.
3. Internet & Network Usage
The app requires internet access to stream Quran recitations and radio from online sources. We also use network state access to detect internet connection status and improve your experience.
The app may connect to HTTP and HTTPS sources for streaming audio content.
We do not collect or send any personal data through these connections.
No analytics or tracking tools are used.
4. Permissions Used
The app uses the following permissions strictly for core functionality:
INTERNET — For streaming Quran recitations and radio.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — To detect connectivity status.
CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE — To handle network behavior.
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION — For accurate on-device prayer time and Qibla calculation.
WAKE_LOCK — To ensure the device CPU stays active long enough to deliver Azan notifications at the exact prayer time.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — To restore and reschedule Azan alarms after the device restarts.
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM — To schedule and deliver prayer notifications and Azan playback at exact prayer times on Android 12 and above.
USE_EXACT_ALARM — To schedule prayer notifications at precise times on Android 13 and above, to ensure prayer notifications and Azan playback occur precisely at prayer times, even during Doze mode and battery optimization restrictions.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS — To display Azan and notification banners on Android 13 and above.
VIBRATE — To vibrate the device when an Azan notification is triggered.
ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY — Requested only when the user chooses to allow Azan playback during Do Not Disturb mode.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK — To allow uninterrupted playback of Quran recitations and radio while the app is in the background.
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS — Requested only if the user chooses to improve Azan notification reliability on devices with aggressive battery-saving restrictions.
All permissions are used strictly for app functionality only. No permission is used to collect, track, or share user data.
5. Azan Notification System
The app schedules local notifications on your device to play the Azan at each prayer time. Exact alarm APIs are used solely to ensure Azan notifications are delivered at the precise prayer time expected by users. These notifications are calculated entirely on-device using your cached location coordinates. No data is sent to any server for this purpose. You can enable or disable Azan notifications per prayer at any time from the Prayer Times screen.
6. Battery Optimization
On some Android devices, aggressive battery-saving features may prevent prayer notifications from being delivered on time. The app may optionally ask users to disable battery optimization for more reliable Azan notifications. This permission is entirely optional and can be denied without affecting most app features.
7. Local Storage
The app stores simple preferences locally on your device using SharedPreferences, including language selection, theme (light/dark mode), prayer notification settings, and last known location coordinates for offline prayer time calculation. This data stays on your device only and is never uploaded or shared.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transmit user data to third parties.
9. Children's Privacy
This application is intended for general audiences, including children. We do not knowingly collect, store, or share personal data from children under 13.
