Privacy Policy for Wellarc: Articulation Training

Effective date: August 15, 2026
Last updated: August 15, 2026

Wellarc: Articulation Training (“Wellarc,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is provided by Elhassnaoui Yassine. It offers guided speech-sound and articulation practice for children under the supervision of parents, caregivers, educators, or speech-language professionals.

Wellarc supports practice and education. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace advice from a qualified speech-language pathologist or healthcare professional.

Privacy summary: No account is required. Practice voice recordings stay on the device and are never sent to OpenRouter or another AI provider. Progress is stored locally. The App has no third-party advertising or cross-app behavioral tracking.

1. Information Processed by the App

Microphone and practice recordings

Wellarc requests microphone permission so the user can record a speech attempt, play it back, and compare it with a model pronunciation. Recording begins only after the user taps the record button.

Practice recordings are stored temporarily on the device. They are not uploaded to us, OpenRouter, RevenueCat, or another cloud service. A temporary attempt is deleted after it is rated, when the practice card is left, or when the recording is replaced.

If a parent, caregiver, or speech-language professional records a reusable model pronunciation, that recording may be retained in the App’s local storage until it is replaced or the App’s data is removed.

Practice progress and preferences

The App stores selected sounds and levels, manual ratings, accuracy, session history, level unlocks, streaks, reminder settings, reference-voice preferences, the selected free sound, and cached subscription-access status locally on the device. We do not receive this local practice history through a user account.

Reference model speech

When model audio is not bundled or stored locally, Wellarc may request generated reference speech from our hosted service. The request may contain the predefined sound, syllable, word, or phrase; an internal item identifier; the practice level; the selected reference voice; and standard network information needed to deliver and secure the request, such as an IP address, request time, and technical headers.

The request does not contain the child’s recorded voice, name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or manually entered medical information.

The service is hosted using Vercel and uses OpenRouter to route the predefined practice text to a speech-generation provider. Generated model audio may be cached on the device to improve playback and reduce repeat requests. Review the OpenRouter Privacy Policy and Vercel Privacy Notice.

Subscriptions and purchases

Wellarc uses Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat to provide and manage subscriptions. Apple processes payments; we do not receive or store complete payment-card information.

RevenueCat may process an automatically generated App User ID, device and operating-system information, subscription status, transaction information, and Apple purchase receipts as necessary to manage access and restore purchases. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled through Apple’s subscription settings. Deleting the App does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

Reminders, exports, and support

If reminders are enabled, the App requests notification permission and schedules local notifications through iOS. Notification permission can be disabled in iOS Settings.

An adult may choose to export a practice summary containing dates, ratings, accuracy, streaks, or completed practice items. Voice recordings are not included. Once shared, the privacy practices of the selected destination apply.

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any information you voluntarily provide. Please do not send children’s recordings, medical records, or other sensitive information through email.

2. How Information Is Used

Information is processed only as reasonably necessary to provide recording and playback, save local progress, generate model pronunciation audio, manage subscriptions, schedule requested reminders, prevent service abuse, diagnose technical problems, respond to support, comply with law, and protect users and our services.

3. Automated Scoring

Wellarc does not currently upload or automatically analyze a child’s voice. Attempts are rated manually by the user, parent, caregiver, or professional. The AI feature generates model pronunciation only; it does not diagnose or evaluate the child’s speech.

4. Advertising, Tracking, and Sale

Wellarc does not display third-party advertising, sell or rent personal information, use advertising identifiers, use voice recordings for advertising, or share information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use child recordings to train AI models.

5. Service Providers and Disclosure

We use Apple for distribution, purchases, billing, notifications, ratings, and device permissions; RevenueCat for subscription management; Vercel for reference-speech infrastructure; and OpenRouter and its routed speech provider for generating model audio from predefined practice text.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or our services, or as part of a business transfer. Information is shared with another destination when an adult intentionally uses the system share sheet.

6. Children’s Privacy

Wellarc is intended for parents, caregivers, professionals, and children using the App under adult supervision. It does not ask a child to create an account or provide a name, email address, birth date, home address, contacts, photos, or precise location. A child’s practice recordings remain on the device and are not transmitted to us or AI providers.

Purchases, subscription management, support messages, and external links should be handled by an adult. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us outside the App, contact us at elhassnaoui.yassinee@gmail.com. We will investigate and delete it when required by applicable law.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Because most practice information exists only on the device, we normally cannot access or remotely delete it. Users can remove it by deleting the App and its local data.

8. Security and International Processing

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections and keeping secret service credentials off the device. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where privacy protections may differ. Where required, applicable contractual and legal safeguards are used.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection concerning personal information controlled by us. You may disable microphone access and notifications in iOS Settings, cancel a subscription through Apple, choose not to use generated reference speech, and remove local information by deleting the App and its data.

To submit a privacy request, email us. We may need to verify the request, and some information may be retained when required by law or necessary for security, fraud prevention, or transaction records.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when features, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated version will show a revised “Last updated” date, and additional notice will be provided when required.
