Effective Date: Octomber 29, 2025
App Name: Uttam
Uttam values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle permissions and information when you use our mobile application.
Camera Access:
Uttam may request access to your device’s camera. This is used only for capturing photos or videos directly within the app (for example, scanning a QR code or taking an in-app photo).
The captured images or videos are not uploaded, stored, or shared by the app.
No Media Library Access:
The app does not access, read, or scan your device’s photo or video library.
We have removed all persistent media access permissions (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO) in compliance with Google Play’s Photo and Video Permissions policy.
Optional File Access via Android Photo Picker:
If a user needs to choose an existing photo or video, Uttam uses the Android system photo picker.
This means the user manually selects a specific file, and the app only receives temporary access to that file.
Any image or video captured or selected is used only within the app for its intended purpose.
The app does not upload, share, or store any user media on external servers.
No third parties receive user content.
Because Uttam does not collect or transmit your media files, no personal media data is stored or exposed.
All media operations occur locally on your device.
You may deny or revoke camera permissions at any time from your device settings.
Note: Certain app features may be unavailable without camera access.
Uttam does not integrate any third-party SDKs or services that collect or process user media files.
We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be reflected by changing the “Effective Date” above.
Uttam may declare the Android permissions READ_MEDIA_IMAGES and READ_MEDIA_VIDEO in its manifest. However:
The app does not actively use these permissions for accessing, reading, or processing any personal photos or videos.
These permissions are retained solely for compatibility and stability purposes during certain camera or media initialization processes on specific Android versions or devices.
No user photos, videos, or media files are accessed, stored, transmitted, or shared by the app.
The app’s current version does not provide any upload, download, or gallery-related functionality.
We remain fully compliant with Google Play’s Photo and Video Permissions policy and ensure that user media remains private and untouched by our app.
