This Privacy Policy applies to the TwinCam Home Security mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application"), created and maintained by the developer ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data.
KEY SUMMARY
TwinCam Home Security utilizes a direct Peer-to-Peer (P2P) architecture. Your live video feeds, audio transmissions, and motion detection photos are transmitted directly between your devices. They are never uploaded, stored, or processed on our servers or any third-party cloud servers.
1. CAMERA AND VIDEO STREAM DATA
The Application requires access to your device's Camera (android.permission.CAMERA) to function in "Camera Mode".
* How it is used: To stream real-time video to your connected viewer device and capture photos when motion is detected.
* Storage & Security: Live video feeds and motion-captured photos are transmitted directly between your paired devices using encrypted P2P communication. We do not store, view, or transmit your camera feed or photos to any cloud server or external location.
2. MICROPHONE AND AUDIO DATA
The Application requires access to your device's Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO) to enable two-way audio (walkie-talkie feature).
* How it is used: To transmit real-time voice and ambient audio from the camera device to the viewer device, and vice versa when using push-to-talk.
* Storage & Security: Audio streams are transmitted strictly in real-time between paired devices. Audio data is never recorded, saved, or uploaded to any server.
3. NOTIFICATIONS AND MOTION ALERTS
The Application uses system Notifications (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS) to alert you when motion is detected.
* How it is used: To send real-time alerts to the "Viewer Device" when the "Camera Device" detects activity.
* Data handling: Motion alerts are generated locally or transmitted directly between paired devices over your active connection session.
4. FOREGROUND SERVICE AND BACKGROUND EXECUTION
The Application utilizes Foreground Services (android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE) to ensure continuous monitoring and video streaming when the device screen is dimmed or placed in battery saver mode.
* A persistent notification is displayed whenever the camera mode is active in the background to ensure complete user awareness and transparency.
5. ADVERTISING AND THIRD-PARTY SDKS
The Application incorporates Google AdMob to display advertisements and offer optional rewarded ad features (e.g., ad-free experience rewards).
While we do not collect personal data directly, Google AdMob may collect and use certain data automatically for ad serving, personalization, and analytics, including:
* IP address
* Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
* Coarse location data
* App interaction and performance metrics

6. DEVICE PERMISSIONS SUMMARY

7. DATA SECURITY
We implement strict measures to safeguard your privacy:
* All device-to-device communication utilizes encrypted peer-to-peer protocols.
* No user registration or personal account creation is required to use the Application.
* Device pairing is performed locally via secure QR code scanning.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Application is a general-purpose home security tool and is not intentionally directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
