1. About ScanGo
ScanGo is a barcode and QR utility app. The app allows users to:
Scan barcodes and QR codes

Save, share, and print generated codes

ScanGo is designed as a utility/business productivity app. We aim to collect only the data required to provide app functionality, ads, billing, security, and app performance.
2. Information We Collect or Access
ScanGo does not require users to create an account to use the core app features.
However, depending on how you use the app, the following types of data may be accessed, created, stored, or processed.
3. Camera Access
ScanGo may request access to your device camera.
Camera access is used only for:
Scanning barcodes
Scanning QR codes
Detecting barcode/QR content through the camera preview
We do not use the camera for background recording. We do not collect or store photos or videos from your camera unless you specifically use an app feature that saves or shares generated/scanned output.
If you deny camera permission, scanning features may not work, but other app features may still be available.
4. Barcode, QR, Inventory, History, and Favorites Data
ScanGo may store app-generated or user-entered data locally on your device, such as:
Scanned barcode or QR values
Generated barcode or QR values
Scan/generation date and time
Favorite items
Inventory items
Product names
Barcode numbers
Stock quantities
Low-stock information
Notes or labels entered by the user
Export or report data created by the user
This data is primarily stored locally on your device using the app’s local storage/database.
We do not operate a central server to automatically upload your scan history, inventory records, or generated barcode/QR values.
5. Backup, Restore, Export, Save, Share, and Print
ScanGo may provide features to:
Save barcode/QR images
Share generated or scanned content
Print barcode/QR output
Export records or reports
Create backup files
Restore data from backup files
When you use these features, you control where the file is saved, shared, printed, exported, or restored from.
For example:
If you choose to share a barcode or QR code, Android’s system share sheet may send the selected data to another app chosen by you.
If you choose to save or export a file, the file may be saved to your device or a location selected by you.
If you choose to save a backup to Google Drive or any other storage provider, that action is controlled by the storage provider and your device/account settings.
If you choose to restore from a backup file, the app reads the file selected by you.
You are responsible for the files you export, share, print, or back up outside the app.
6. Internet and Network Access
ScanGo may use internet/network access for features such as:
Showing advertisements
Loading Google Mobile Ads
Processing Google Play Billing purchases
Restoring purchases
Checking premium entitlement where supported
Consent management for ads where required
App-related online functionality where implemented
Core barcode and QR scanning/generation features may work offline where technically supported, but ads, billing, subscriptions, and some online features require an internet connection.
7. Advertising and Google Mobile Ads
ScanGo may show advertisements to non-premium users.
We may use Google Mobile Ads / AdMob or related Google advertising services. These services may automatically collect and share certain data for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention purposes.
Depending on your device settings, consent choices, region, and Google’s services, advertising SDKs may process information such as:

Premium users may receive an ad-free experience where the premium entitlement is active and recognized by the app.

8. Google Play Billing and Subscriptions
ScanGo may offer premium features through Google Play Billing.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We do not collect or store your credit card number, debit card number, UPI details, bank details, or other payment method details.
Google Play may provide the app with purchase-related information required to verify premium access, such as:

Entitlement status
This information is used only to unlock premium features, restore purchases, prevent misuse, and provide subscription-related functionality.

13. Local Storage and Data Retention
Most user-created app data is stored locally on your device.

This data remains on your device until:
You delete it inside the app where deletion options are available
You clear the app’s data from Android settings
You uninstall the app
You delete exported or backup files manually
You restore or replace app data using backup/restore features
If you share or back up data outside the app, that copied data may remain wherever you saved or shared it.
14. Data Deletion
You can delete app data in the following ways:
Delete records inside the app where available
Delete history/favorites/inventory items where supported
Delete exported files manually from your device or storage provider
Clear app data from Android system settings
Uninstall the app
If you saved backup files externally, you must delete those backup files from the storage location where you saved them.
ScanGo does not currently require account creation for core functionality. Therefore, there is no separate ScanGo account deletion process unless account functionality is introduced in a future version.

15. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect user data handled by the app.
However, no method of electronic storage, file transfer, or internet transmission is completely secure. Users should take care when sharing, exporting, printing, or backing up sensitive barcode, QR, inventory, or product data.
Data sent through third-party services, such as Google Play Billing, Google Mobile Ads, Android share sheet, print services, or cloud storage providers, is handled according to the privacy and security practices of those third parties.

ScanGo is a general utility/productivity app and is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13 or the minimum age required in your country.
