Reading Tracker ("the App") is a mobile application developed by AntoTech ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App. The App allows users to manage their personal reading library, track progress, set annual goals, take notes, and view reading statistics. The App may also display advertisements using third-party services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in our data practices.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

The App is designed to operate primarily offline, with most features functioning without an internet connection. We do not collect or store personal data on our servers. However, certain features involve third-party services that have their own privacy practices. 

Information We Collect

1. Information You Provide

• Book Data: Titles, authors, page counts, progress, notes, and quotes you enter are stored locally on your device.
  
  

• Goals and Preferences: Annual reading goals, theme (light/dark), and language settings are stored locally using localStorage.
  
  

• Notes and Quotes: Any notes or quotes you add are also stored only on your device and are not transmitted to us.

2. Automatically Collected Information

• Device and Usage Data: The App may collect non-personal information such as device type, operating system version, and app version.
  
  

• Ad-Related Data: The App displays ads via Google’s AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), IP address, location data (if permitted), and app usage data to serve personalized ads. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

3. No Collection of Sensitive Personal Data

The App does not require an account, login, or registration. We do not collect sensitive personal information (financial, health, biometric, etc.). 

How We Use Your Information

• To Provide App Functionality: Your reading data is used to track progress, generate statistics, and manage your library.

• To Improve the App: Anonymous usage data (if collected by third parties like AdMob) may help us understand performance.

• For Advertising: AdMob uses its own data collection to display relevant ads. We do not control or access this data.

• Local Features: Data stored locally (goals, notes, quotes, theme) is used only to enhance your personal experience.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Sharing of Information

• Google AdMob: For banners, interstitials, and app-open ads. Data practices are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
  
  

• No Other Sharing: We do not share your data with third parties, except as required by law (e.g., court orders, government requests).

Data Security

• All personal data is stored locally on your device.
  
  

• We recommend keeping your device secure, as loss of device security may expose your stored notes, quotes, or goals.
  
  

• Third-party services (e.g., AdMob) have their own security measures; we are not responsible for their practices.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete it. Parents or guardians should supervise children’s use of the App. 

Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Control: Since data is stored locally, you can access, modify, or delete it directly on your device (e.g., clearing local storage).
  
  

• Opt-Out of Ads: You can limit personalized ads in AdMob by adjusting your device’s advertising settings (reset Advertising ID or opt out of interest-based ads).
  
  

• Permissions: The App may request storage access for saving data and internet access for ads; you can manage these in device settings.
  
  

• GDPR/CCPA Compliance: If you are in the EU or California, you may have rights to access, delete, or opt out of data sales. Since we do not collect or sell personal data, contact us for requests.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted in the App or on our website (if applicable). Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
