• User Inputs for QR Code Generation: When generating QR codes, you may enter data such as URLs, text, email addresses, phone numbers, names, locations (latitude/longitude), WiFi credentials, event details, Bitcoin addresses, tweet content, or PayPal usernames. This data is processed locally on your device to create the QR code and is not transmitted to us or stored beyond your session.

• Scanned QR Code Data: When scanning QR codes, the App parses the content (e.g., URLs, text, WiFi details, vCard contacts, emails, phone numbers, or SMS). This data is displayed on your device and not sent to us.

• Location Search Queries: If you use the map search feature for location-based QR codes, your search query (e.g., an address) is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to retrieve coordinates. We do not store these queries.

• Custom Designs and Templates: You can upload logos or save design templates. These are stored locally on your device using localStorage and are not shared with us.

2. Automatically Collected Information

• Device and Usage Data: The App may collect non-personal information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and usage statistics (e.g., which features are used). This is handled locally or through third-party services like AdMob for ads.

• Ad-Related Data: The App displays ads via Google's AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), IP address, location data (if permitted), and app usage data to serve personalized ads. For more details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

• Local Storage: We use your device's localStorage to save preferences like theme (light/dark), language (English/Spanish), and saved QR design templates. This data stays on your device and is not accessible to us.

3. No Collection of Sensitive Personal Data

The App does not require user accounts, logins, or any form of registration. We do not collect sensitive personal information such as financial details, health data, or biometric information directly. However, if you input such data into a QR code (e.g., Bitcoin addresses or PayPal details), it is handled locally and at your own risk.

How We Use Your Information

• To Provide App Functionality: User-provided data is used solely to generate or scan QR codes. For example:

  • Generating QR codes for sharing contacts, WiFi, events, etc.

  • Parsing scanned QR codes to display or act on the content (e.g., opening a URL or copying text).

• To Improve the App: Anonymous usage data (if collected via third parties) helps us understand app performance and user preferences.

• For Advertising: AdMob uses collected data to display relevant ads. We do not control or access this data.

  • Leaflet Library: Used for maps; it fetches tiles from OpenStreetMap but does not collect personal data.

  • Cordova Plugins: Plugins like social sharing, QR scanner, and AdMob may access device features (e.g., camera for scanning). Data shared via these plugins (e.g., exporting a QR code image) is controlled by you and the sharing platform.

• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a court order or government request.

• No Other Sharing: We do not share your data with other third parties unless necessary for the App's functionality as described.

Data Security

We prioritize the security of your information. All data processing occurs on your device, reducing the risk of transmission breaches. However:

• Uploaded logos or generated QR codes containing personal data are stored locally—ensure your device is secure.

• We recommend not inputting highly sensitive information into QR codes, as scanned or shared QR codes can be read by others.

• Third-party services (e.g., AdMob, Nominatim) have their own security measures; we are not responsible for their practices.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information. Parents or guardians should supervise children's use of the App.

• Access and Control: Since data is stored locally, you can access, modify, or delete it directly on your device (e.g., clear localStorage via device settings).

• Opt-Out of Ads: You can limit personalized ads in AdMob by adjusting your device's advertising settings (e.g., reset Advertising ID or opt out of interest-based ads).

• Location Permissions: The App requests camera access for scanning and may use location for maps; you can revoke these in your device settings.
