PocketBook is an expense-tracking application. This Privacy Policy describes how the app handles your data.
PocketBook works fully offline. All data you create in the app is stored only on your device:
Expense data: Transactions, amounts, dates, notes, accounts, and categories
Receipt and category images: Any images you attach to transactions or categories
Preferences: Theme (e.g. light/dark), currency, and other in-app settings
We do not collect, upload, or have access to your expense data. Nothing is sent to our servers because the app does not use a backend for your financial information.
PocketBook does not track you. We do not use analytics, tracking scripts, or any technology to identify you or monitor how you use the app. Your use of the app is not recorded or sent to us or to third parties for tracking purposes.
You do not need to create an account or sign in. There is no user profile or login. All data remains local to your device.
The app may request permissions only to provide core features, for example:
Network (optional): If the app uses features that need the internet (e.g. opening a link), network access may be used only for that action. Your expense data is not sent over the network.
We use permissions only for the features described in the app and do not use them for tracking.
Your data stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete individual transactions or data in the app, or uninstall PocketBook to remove all app data from your device. We do not retain copies of your data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will be revised when we do. Continued use of PocketBook after changes means you accept the updated policy.
