When you use Players Card, we may process the following types of information:
Photos of sports cards you submit for identification
Card details returned by the AI (player name, year, brand, set, value)
Collection data stored locally on your device (card grades, purchase prices, notes)
App version and device operating system
We do not collect:
Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
Location data or contacts
No account creation is required.
3. How We Use Information
We process user data to:
Provide AI-powered card identification
Estimate and track market values
Organize and manage your card collection
Improve app performance and user experience
Maintain security and prevent abuse
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.
4. AI Processing – Google Gemini API
To power card identification and market value estimates, Players Card uses the Google Gemini Generative AI API.
When you submit a card photo:
The image is securely transmitted to Google's servers for identification.
Data is processed solely to generate the requested identification result.
We do not transmit personal identifiers such as your name or email.
We do not use your content for advertising, profiling, or marketing.
Google processes data in accordance with its Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Users are advised not to submit images containing sensitive personal information.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Your card collection, photos, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
We do not maintain independent servers storing your content.
Data transmitted to Google Gemini API is processed in real time.
We do not retain copies of submitted images on our systems.
If you delete the app, all locally stored data is removed from your device.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share user data with advertisers or third parties.
Card photos are only shared with Google Gemini API for the purpose of AI identification.
We may disclose information only if required by law or valid legal process.
7. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Players Card may offer premium features through in-app purchases or subscriptions managed by Apple.
Payments are processed through your Apple ID.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Subscription terms are governed by Apple's EULA and App Store Terms of Service.
We do not collect or store payment information.
8. Children's Privacy
Players Card is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
9. iCloud Backup
If iCloud backup is enabled on your device, app data stored locally may be included in your iCloud backups in accordance with Apple's iCloud policies. You can manage this in your device settings.
10. Your Rights (EEA and Similar Jurisdictions)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

Request deletion
Object to processing
Request restriction of processing
Because most data is stored locally on your device, you maintain direct control over your information.
11. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical safeguards to protect data transmission. Communication with Google Gemini API is encrypted using secure protocols (HTTPS). However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective upon publication within the App. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
